Nowe the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chiefe fathers and captaines of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that serued the king in any matter of the courses, which came in, and went out moneth by moneth, throughout all the moneths of the yeare, of euery course were twentie and foure thousand.

וּ/בְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל לְֽ/מִסְפָּרָ֡/ם רָאשֵׁ֣י הָ/אָב֣וֹת וְ/שָׂרֵ֣י הָֽ/אֲלָפִ֣ים וְ/הַ/מֵּא֡וֹת וְ/שֹׁטְרֵי/הֶם֩ הַ/מְשָׁרְתִ֨ים אֶת הַ/מֶּ֜לֶךְ לְ/כֹ֣ל דְּבַ֣ר הַֽ/מַּחְלְק֗וֹת הַ/בָּאָ֤ה וְ/הַ/יֹּצֵאת֙ חֹ֣דֶשׁ בְּ/חֹ֔דֶשׁ לְ/כֹ֖ל חָדְשֵׁ֣י הַ/שָּׁנָ֑ה הַֽ/מַּחֲלֹ֨קֶת֙ הָֽ/אַחַ֔ת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְ/אַרְבָּעָ֖ה אָֽלֶף
Ouer the first course for the first moneth was Iashobeam the sonne of Zabdiel, and in his course were twentie and foure thousand.

עַ֞ל הַ/מַּחֲלֹ֤קֶת הָ/רִֽאשׁוֹנָה֙ לַ/חֹ֣דֶשׁ הָ/רִאשׁ֔וֹן יָֽשָׁבְעָ֖ם בֶּן זַבְדִּיאֵ֑ל וְ/עַל֙ מַֽחֲלֻקְתּ֔/וֹ עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְ/אַרְבָּעָ֖ה אָֽלֶף
Of the children of Perez, was the chiefe of all the captaines of the host, for the first moneth.

מִן בְּנֵי פֶ֗רֶץ הָ/רֹ֛אשׁ לְ/כָל שָׂרֵ֥י הַ/צְּבָא֖וֹת לַ/חֹ֥דֶשׁ הָ/רִאשֽׁוֹן
And ouer the course of the second moneth was Dodai an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth also the ruler: In his course likewise were twentie and foure thousand.

The third captaine of the host for the third month was Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada a chiefe priest, and in his course were twenty and foure thousand.

שַׂ֣ר הַ/צָּבָ֤א הַ/שְּׁלִישִׁי֙ לַ/חֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ/שְּׁלִישִׁ֔י בְּנָיָ֧הוּ בֶן יְהוֹיָדָ֛ע הַ/כֹּהֵ֖ן רֹ֑אשׁ וְ/עַל֙ מַחֲלֻקְתּ֔/וֹ עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְ/אַרְבָּעָ֖ה אָֽלֶף
This is that Benaiah, who was mightie among the thirtie, and aboue the thirty: and in his course was Amizabad his sonne.

The ninth captaine for the ninth moneth, was Abiezer the Anetothite, of the Beniamites: and in his course were twentie and foure thousand.

The twelfth captaine for the twelfth moneth, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twentie and foure thousand.

¶ Furthermore, ouer the tribes of Israel: The Ruler of the Reubenites was Eliezer the sonne of Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the sonne of Maachah.

Of Iudah, Elihu, one of the brethren of Dauid: of Issachar, Omri the sonne of Michael.

¶ But Dauid tooke not the number of them from twentie yeeres olde and vnder: because the LORD had said, hee would increase Israel like to the starres of the heauens.

Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel, neither was the number put in the account of the Chronicles of King Dauid.

יוֹאָ֨ב בֶּן צְרוּיָ֜ה הֵחֵ֤ל לִ/מְנוֹת֙ וְ/לֹ֣א כִלָּ֔ה וַ/יְהִ֥י בָ/זֹ֛את קֶ֖צֶף עַל יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְ/לֹ֤א עָלָה֙ הַ/מִּסְפָּ֔ר בְּ/מִסְפַּ֥ר דִּבְרֵֽי הַ/יָּמִ֖ים לַ/מֶּ֥לֶךְ דָּוִֽיד
¶ And ouer the Kings treasures, was Azmaueth the sonne of Adiel: and ouer the store-houses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Iehonathan the sonne of Uzziah.

וְ/עַ֗ל עֹשֵׂי֙ מְלֶ֣אכֶת הַ/שָּׂדֶ֔ה לַ/עֲבֹדַ֖ת הָ/אֲדָמָ֑ה עֶזְרִ֖י בֶּן כְּלֽוּב
And ouer the Uineyards, was Shimei the Ramathite: ouer the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars, was Sabdi the Ziphmite.
GenevaAnd ouer them that dressed the vines, was Shimei the Ramathite: and ouer that which apperteined to the vines, and ouer the store of the wine was Sabdi the Shiphmite:
וְ/עַל הַ֨/כְּרָמִ֔ים שִׁמְעִ֖י הָ/רָֽמָתִ֑י וְ/עַ֤ל שֶׁ/בַּ/כְּרָמִים֙ לְ/אֹצְר֣וֹת הַ/יַּ֔יִן זַבְדִּ֖י הַ/שִּׁפְמִֽי
And ouer the Oliue trees, and the Sycomore trees that were in the lowe plaines, was Baal-hanan the Gederite: and ouer the cellars of oyle was Ioash.

וְ/עַל הַ/זֵּיתִ֤ים וְ/הַ/שִּׁקְמִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּ/שְּׁפֵלָ֔ה בַּ֥עַל חָנָ֖ן הַ/גְּדֵרִ֑י וְ/עַל אֹצְר֥וֹת הַ/שֶּׁ֖מֶן יוֹעָֽשׁ
And ouer the herdes that fed in Sharon, was Shetrai the Sharonite: and ouer the herds that were in the valleys, was Shaphat the sonne of Adlai.

וְ/עַל הַ/בָּקָר֙ הָ/רֹעִ֣ים בַּ/שָּׁר֔וֹן שטרי הַ/שָּׁרוֹנִ֑י וְ/עַל הַ/בָּקָר֙ בָּֽ/עֲמָקִ֔ים שָׁפָ֖ט בֶּן עַדְלָֽי
Ouer the camels also, was Obil the Ishmaelite: and ouer the Asses, was Iehdeiah the Meronothite.

וְ/עַל הַ֨/גְּמַלִּ֔ים אוֹבִ֖יל הַ/יִּשְׁמְעֵלִ֑י וְ/עַל הָ֣/אֲתֹנ֔וֹת יֶחְדְּיָ֖הוּ הַ/מֵּרֹנֹתִֽי
And ouer the flockes, was Iaziz the Hagerite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king Dauids.

וְ/עַל הַ/צֹּ֖אן יָזִ֣יז הַֽ/הַגְרִ֑י כָּל אֵ֨לֶּה֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הָ/רְכ֔וּשׁ אֲשֶׁ֖ר לַ/מֶּ֥לֶךְ דָּוִֽיד
Also Ionathan Dauids uncle, was a counseller, a wise man, and a Scribe: and Iehiel the sonne of Hachmoni, was with the kings sonnes.
GenevaAnd Iehonathan Dauids vncle a man of counsell and vnderstanding (for he was a scribe) and Iehiel the sonne of Hachmoni were with the Kings sonnes.
וִֽ/יהוֹנָתָ֤ן דּוֹד דָּוִיד֙ יוֹעֵ֔ץ אִישׁ מֵבִ֥ין וְ/סוֹפֵ֖ר ה֑וּא וִֽ/יחִיאֵ֥ל בֶּן חַכְמוֹנִ֖י עִם בְּנֵ֥י הַ/מֶּֽלֶךְ
And Ahitophel was the kings counseller, and Hushai the Archite, was the kings companion.
GenevaAnd Ahitophel was the Kings counseller, and Hushai the Archite the Kings friend.
וַ/אֲחִיתֹ֖פֶל יוֹעֵ֣ץ לַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְ וְ/חוּשַׁ֥י הָ/אַרְכִּ֖י רֵ֥עַ הַ/מֶּֽלֶךְ
And after Ahitophel, was Iehoiada the sonne of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the Kings armie was Ioab.

וְ/אַחֲרֵ֣י אֲחִיתֹ֗פֶל יְהוֹיָדָ֤ע בֶּן בְּנָיָ֨הוּ֙ וְ/אֶבְיָתָ֔ר וְ/שַׂר צָבָ֥א לַ/מֶּ֖לֶךְ יוֹאָֽב
