These are the woordes of the Couenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the Couenant which he made with them in Horeb.

וַ/יִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵ/הֶ֑ם אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֗ם אֵ֣ת כָּל אֲשֶׁר֩ עָשָׂ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה לְ/עֵֽינֵי/כֶם֙ בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לְ/פַרְעֹ֥ה וּ/לְ/כָל עֲבָדָ֖י/ו וּ/לְ/כָל אַרְצֽ/וֹ
¶ And Moses called vnto all Israel, and said vnto them, Yee haue seene all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt vnto Pharaoh, and vnto all his seruants, and vnto all his land;

The great temptations which thine eyes haue seene, the signes and those great miracles:

Yet the LORD hath not giuen you an heart to perceiue, and eyes to see, and eares to heare, vnto this day.

And I haue led you fourtie yeres in the wildernes: your clothes are not waxen old vpon you, and thy shooe is not waxen old vpon thy foot.

לֶ֚חֶם לֹ֣א אֲכַלְתֶּ֔ם וְ/יַ֥יִן וְ/שֵׁכָ֖ר לֹ֣א שְׁתִיתֶ֑ם לְמַ֨עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם
Ye haue not eaten bread, neither haue you drunke wine, or strong drink: that yee might knowe that I am the LORD your God.

וַ/תָּבֹ֖אוּ אֶל הַ/מָּק֣וֹם הַ/זֶּ֑ה וַ/יֵּצֵ֣א סִיחֹ֣ן מֶֽלֶךְ חֶ֠שְׁבּוֹן וְ/ע֨וֹג מֶֽלֶךְ הַ/בָּשָׁ֧ן לִ/קְרָאתֵ֛/נוּ לַ/מִּלְחָמָ֖ה וַ/נַּכֵּֽ/ם
And when yee came vnto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the King of Bashan, came out against vs vnto battell, and wee smote them.

And wee tooke their lande, and gaue it for an inheritance vnto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the halfe tribe of Manasseh.

Keepe therefore the wordes of this Couenant and doe them, that yee may prosper in all that ye doe.

¶ Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God: your captaines of your tribes, your Elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,

Your litle ones, your wiues, and thy stranger that is in thy campe, from the hewer of thy wood, vnto the drawer of thy water:

לְ/עָבְרְ/ךָ֗ בִּ/בְרִ֛ית יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ וּ/בְ/אָלָת֑/וֹ אֲשֶׁר֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ כֹּרֵ֥ת עִמְּ/ךָ֖ הַ/יּֽוֹם
That thou shouldest enter into Couenant with the LORD thy God, and into his othe which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:

לְמַ֣עַן הָקִֽים אֹתְ/ךָ֩ הַ/יּ֨וֹם ל֜/וֹ לְ/עָ֗ם וְ/ה֤וּא יִֽהְיֶה לְּ/ךָ֙ לֵֽ/אלֹהִ֔ים כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּר לָ֑/ךְ וְ/כַ/אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּע֙ לַ/אֲבֹתֶ֔י/ךָ לְ/אַבְרָהָ֥ם לְ/יִצְחָ֖ק וּֽ/לְ/יַעֲקֹֽב
That he may establish thee to day for a people vnto himselfe, and that hee may be vnto thee a God, as he hath said vnto thee, and as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Iacob.

וְ/לֹ֥א אִתְּ/כֶ֖ם לְ/בַדְּ/כֶ֑ם אָנֹכִ֗י כֹּרֵת֙ אֶת הַ/בְּרִ֣ית הַ/זֹּ֔את וְ/אֶת הָ/אָלָ֖ה הַ/זֹּֽאת
Neither with you onely doe I make this couenant and this othe:
GenevaNeither make I this couenant, and this othe with you onely,
כִּי֩ אֶת אֲשֶׁ֨ר יֶשְׁנ֜/וֹ פֹּ֗ה עִמָּ֨/נוּ֙ עֹמֵ֣ד הַ/יּ֔וֹם לִ/פְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑י/נוּ וְ/אֵ֨ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵינֶ֛/נּוּ פֹּ֖ה עִמָּ֥/נוּ הַ/יּֽוֹם
But with him that standeth here with vs this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with vs this day:
GenevaBut aswel with him that standeth here with vs this day before the Lord our God, as with him that is not here with vs this day.
כִּֽי אַתֶּ֣ם יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר יָשַׁ֖בְנוּ בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ/אֵ֧ת אֲשֶׁר עָבַ֛רְנוּ בְּ/קֶ֥רֶב הַ/גּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲבַרְתֶּֽם
(For ye know how we haue dwelt in the land of Egypt, and how we came thorow the nations which ye passed by.

וַ/תִּרְאוּ֙ אֶת שִׁקּ֣וּצֵי/הֶ֔ם וְ/אֵ֖ת גִּלֻּלֵי/הֶ֑ם עֵ֣ץ וָ/אֶ֔בֶן כֶּ֥סֶף וְ/זָהָ֖ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר עִמָּ/הֶֽם
And ye haue seene their abominations, and their idoles, wood, and stone, siluer, and gold, which were among them.)

פֶּן יֵ֣שׁ בָּ֠/כֶם אִ֣ישׁ אוֹ אִשָּׁ֞ה א֧וֹ מִשְׁפָּחָ֣ה אוֹ שֵׁ֗בֶט אֲשֶׁר֩ לְבָב֨/וֹ פֹנֶ֤ה הַ/יּוֹם֙ מֵ/עִם֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔י/נוּ לָ/לֶ֣כֶת לַ/עֲבֹ֔ד אֶת אֱלֹהֵ֖י הַ/גּוֹיִ֣ם הָ/הֵ֑ם פֶּן יֵ֣שׁ בָּ/כֶ֗ם שֹׁ֛רֶשׁ פֹּרֶ֥ה רֹ֖אשׁ וְ/לַעֲנָֽה
Lest there should be among you man or woman, or familie, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day frō the LORD our God, to goe and serue the gods of these nations: lest there should bee among you a root that beareth gall and wormewood,
GenevaThat there should not be among you man nor woman, nor familie, nor tribe, which should turne his heart away this day from the Lord our God, to goe and serue the gods of these nations, and that there shoulde not be among you any roote that bringeth forth gall and wormewood,
וְ/הָיָ֡ה בְּ/שָׁמְע/וֹ֩ אֶת דִּבְרֵ֨י הָֽ/אָלָ֜ה הַ/זֹּ֗את וְ/הִתְבָּרֵ֨ךְ בִּ/לְבָב֤/וֹ לֵ/אמֹר֙ שָׁל֣וֹם יִֽהְיֶה לִּ֔/י כִּ֛י בִּ/שְׁרִר֥וּת לִבִּ֖/י אֵלֵ֑ךְ לְמַ֛עַן סְפ֥וֹת הָ/רָוָ֖ה אֶת הַ/צְּמֵאָֽה
And it come to passe when he heareth the wordes of this curse, that hee blesse himselfe in his heart, saying, I shall haue peace, though I walke in the imagination of mine heart, to adde drunkennesse to thirst:
GenevaSo that when he heareth the words of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his heart, saying, I shall haue peace, although I walke according to the stubburnes of mine owne heart, thus adding drunkennesse to thirst.
לֹא יֹאבֶ֣ה יְהוָה֮ סְלֹ֣חַֽ ל/וֹ֒ כִּ֣י אָ֠ז יֶעְשַׁ֨ן אַף יְהוָ֤ה וְ/קִנְאָת/וֹ֙ בָּ/אִ֣ישׁ הַ/ה֔וּא וְ/רָ֤בְצָה בּ/וֹ֙ כָּל הָ֣/אָלָ֔ה הַ/כְּתוּבָ֖ה בַּ/סֵּ֣פֶר הַ/זֶּ֑ה וּ/מָחָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ אֶת שְׁמ֔/וֹ מִ/תַּ֖חַת הַ/שָּׁמָֽיִם
The LORD wil not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD, and his ielousie shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this booke shall lie vpon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from vnder heauen.
GenevaThe Lord will not be mercifull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his ielousie shall smoke against that man, and euery curse that is written in this booke, shall light vpon him, and the Lord shall put out his name from vnder heauen,
וְ/הִבְדִּיל֤/וֹ יְהוָה֙ לְ/רָעָ֔ה מִ/כֹּ֖ל שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כְּ/כֹל֙ אָל֣וֹת הַ/בְּרִ֔ית הַ/כְּתוּבָ֕ה בְּ/סֵ֥פֶר הַ/תּוֹרָ֖ה הַ/זֶּֽה
And the LORD shall separate him vnto euill, out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the Couenant, that are written in this booke of the Law:
GenevaAnd the Lord shall separate him vnto euil out of all the tribes of Israel, according vnto all the curses of the couenant, that is written in the booke of this Lawe.
וְ/אָמַ֞ר הַ/דּ֣וֹר הָֽ/אַחֲר֗וֹן בְּנֵי/כֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָק֨וּמוּ֙ מֵ/אַ֣חֲרֵי/כֶ֔ם וְ/הַ֨/נָּכְרִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָבֹ֖א מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ רְחוֹקָ֑ה וְ֠/רָאוּ אֶת מַכּ֞וֹת הָ/אָ֤רֶץ הַ/הִוא֙ וְ/אֶת תַּ֣חֲלֻאֶ֔י/הָ אֲשֶׁר חִלָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה בָּֽ/הּ
So that the generation to come of your children, that shall rise vp after you, and the stranger that shall come from a farre land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath layd vpon it;
GenevaSo that the generatio to come, euen your children, that shall rise vp after you, and the stranger, that shall come from a farre lande, shall say, when they shall see the plagues of this lande, and the diseases thereof, wherewith the Lord shall smite it:
גָּפְרִ֣ית וָ/מֶלַח֮ שְׂרֵפָ֣ה כָל אַרְצָ/הּ֒ לֹ֤א תִזָּרַע֙ וְ/לֹ֣א תַצְמִ֔חַ וְ/לֹֽא יַעֲלֶ֥ה בָ֖/הּ כָּל עֵ֑שֶׂב כְּֽ/מַהְפֵּכַ֞ת סְדֹ֤ם וַ/עֲמֹרָה֙ אַדְמָ֣ה ו/צביים אֲשֶׁר֙ הָפַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה בְּ/אַפּ֖/וֹ וּ/בַ/חֲמָתֽ/וֹ
And that the whole land thereof is brimstone and salt, and burning, that it is not sowen, nor beareth, nor any grasse groweth therein, like the ouerthrow of Sodome, and Gomorah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD ouerthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
Geneva(For all that land shall burne with brimstone and salt: it shall not be sowen, nor bring forth, nor any grasse shall growe therein, like as in the ouerthrowing of Sodom, and Gomorah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the Lord ouerthrewe in his wrath and in his anger)
וְ/אָֽמְרוּ֙ כָּל הַ/גּוֹיִ֔ם עַל מֶ֨ה עָשָׂ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה כָּ֖כָה לָ/אָ֣רֶץ הַ/זֹּ֑את מֶ֥ה חֳרִ֛י הָ/אַ֥ף הַ/גָּד֖וֹל הַ/זֶּֽה
Euen al nations shal say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus vnto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
GenevaThen shall all nations say, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus vnto this lande? how fierce is this great wrath?
וְ/אָ֣מְר֔וּ עַ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָֽזְב֔וּ אֶת בְּרִ֥ית יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתָ֑/ם אֲשֶׁר֙ כָּרַ֣ת עִמָּ֔/ם בְּ/הוֹצִיא֥/וֹ אֹתָ֖/ם מֵ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם
Then men shall say, Because they haue forsaken the Couenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them foorth out of the land of Egypt.
GenevaAnd they shall answere, Because they haue forsaken the couenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he had made with them, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,
וַ/יֵּלְכ֗וּ וַ/יַּֽעַבְדוּ֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַ/יִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֖וּ לָ/הֶ֑ם אֱלֹהִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא יְדָע֔וּ/ם וְ/לֹ֥א חָלַ֖ק לָ/הֶֽם
For they went and serued other gods, & worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not giuen vnto them.
GenevaAnd went and serued other gods and worshipped them: euen gods which they knewe not, and which had giuen them nothing,
וַ/יִּֽחַר אַ֥ף יְהוָ֖ה בָּ/אָ֣רֶץ הַ/הִ֑וא לְ/הָבִ֤יא עָלֶ֨י/הָ֙ אֶת כָּל הַ/קְּלָלָ֔ה הַ/כְּתוּבָ֖ה בַּ/סֵּ֥פֶר הַ/זֶּֽה
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring vpon it all the curses, that are written in this booke.
GenevaTherefore the wrath of the Lord waxed hot against this land, to bring vpon it euery curse that is written in this booke.
וַ/יִּתְּשֵׁ֤/ם יְהוָה֙ מֵ/עַ֣ל אַדְמָתָ֔/ם בְּ/אַ֥ף וּ/בְ/חֵמָ֖ה וּ/בְ/קֶ֣צֶף גָּד֑וֹל וַ/יַּשְׁלִכֵ֛/ם אֶל אֶ֥רֶץ אַחֶ֖רֶת כַּ/יּ֥וֹם הַ/זֶּֽה
And the LORD rooted them out of their land, in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

The secret things belong vnto the LORD our God: but those things which are reuealed belong vnto vs, and to our children for euer, that wee may doe all the words of this Law.
