Exodus 15
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing vnto the LORD: for he hath triumphed gloriously, the horse and his rider hath he throwen into the Sea.
GenevaThen sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.
אָ֣ז יָשִֽׁיר מֹשֶׁה֩ וּ/בְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶת הַ/שִּׁירָ֤ה הַ/זֹּאת֙ לַֽ/יהוָ֔ה וַ/יֹּאמְר֖וּ לֵ/אמֹ֑ר אָשִׁ֤ירָה לַֽ/יהוָה֙ כִּֽי גָאֹ֣ה גָּאָ֔ה ס֥וּס וְ/רֹכְב֖/וֹ רָמָ֥ה בַ/יָּֽם
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my saluation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation, my fathers God, and I wil exalt him.
GenevaThe Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.
עָזִּ֤/י וְ/זִמְרָת֙ יָ֔הּ וַֽ/יְהִי לִ֖/י לִֽ/ישׁוּעָ֑ה זֶ֤ה אֵלִ/י֙ וְ/אַנְוֵ֔/הוּ אֱלֹהֵ֥י אָבִ֖/י וַ/אֲרֹמְמֶֽ/נְהוּ
The LORD is a man of warre: the LORD is his Name.
GenevaThe Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
יְהוָ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ מִלְחָמָ֑ה יְהוָ֖ה שְׁמֽ/וֹ
Pharaohs charets and his hoste hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captaines also are drowned in the red Sea.

מַרְכְּבֹ֥ת פַּרְעֹ֛ה וְ/חֵיל֖/וֹ יָרָ֣ה בַ/יָּ֑ם וּ/מִבְחַ֥ר שָֽׁלִשָׁ֖י/ו טֻבְּע֥וּ בְ/יַם סֽוּף
The depths haue couered them: they sanke into the bottome as a stone.

תְּהֹמֹ֖ת יְכַסְיֻ֑/מוּ יָרְד֥וּ בִ/מְצוֹלֹ֖ת כְּמוֹ אָֽבֶן
Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power, thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemie.
GenevaThy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.
יְמִֽינְ/ךָ֣ יְהוָ֔ה נֶאְדָּרִ֖י בַּ/כֹּ֑חַ יְמִֽינְ/ךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה תִּרְעַ֥ץ אוֹיֵֽב
And in the greatnesse of thine excellencie thou hast ouerthrowen them, that rose vp against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

וּ/בְ/רֹ֥ב גְּאוֹנְ/ךָ֖ תַּהֲרֹ֣ס קָמֶ֑י/ךָ תְּשַׁלַּח֙ חֲרֹ֣נְ/ךָ֔ יֹאכְלֵ֖/מוֹ כַּ/קַּֽשׁ
And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together: the floods stood vpright as an heape, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the Sea.
GenevaAnd by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.
וּ/בְ/ר֤וּחַ אַפֶּ֨י/ךָ֙ נֶ֣עֶרְמוּ מַ֔יִם נִצְּב֥וּ כְמוֹ נֵ֖ד נֹזְלִ֑ים קָֽפְא֥וּ תְהֹמֹ֖ת בְּ/לֶב יָֽם
The enemie said, I will pursue, I wil ouertake, I wil diuide the spoile: my lust shall be satisfied vpon them: I will draw my sword, mine hand shall destroy them.
GenevaThe enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.
אָמַ֥ר אוֹיֵ֛ב אֶרְדֹּ֥ף אַשִּׂ֖יג אֲחַלֵּ֣ק שָׁלָ֑ל תִּמְלָאֵ֣/מוֹ נַפְשִׁ֔/י אָרִ֣יק חַרְבִּ֔/י תּוֹרִישֵׁ֖/מוֹ יָדִֽ/י
Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea couered them, they sanke as lead in the mighty waters.
GenevaThou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.
נָשַׁ֥פְתָּ בְ/רוּחֲ/ךָ֖ כִּסָּ֣/מוֹ יָ֑ם צָֽלֲלוּ֙ כַּֽ/עוֹפֶ֔רֶת בְּ/מַ֖יִם אַדִּירִֽים
Who is like vnto thee, O LORD, amongst the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holinesse, fearefull in praises, doing wonders!
GenevaWho is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!
מִֽי כָמֹ֤/כָה בָּֽ/אֵלִם֙ יְהוָ֔ה מִ֥י כָּמֹ֖/כָה נֶאְדָּ֣ר בַּ/קֹּ֑דֶשׁ נוֹרָ֥א תְהִלֹּ֖ת עֹ֥שֵׂה פֶֽלֶא
Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.
GenevaThou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.
נָטִ֨יתָ֙ יְמִ֣ינְ/ךָ֔ תִּבְלָעֵ֖/מוֹ אָֽרֶץ
Thou in thy mercie hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength vnto thy holy habitation.
GenevaThou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.
נָחִ֥יתָ בְ/חַסְדְּ/ךָ֖ עַם ז֣וּ גָּאָ֑לְתָּ נֵהַ֥לְתָּ בְ/עָזְּ/ךָ֖ אֶל נְוֵ֥ה קָדְשֶֽׁ/ךָ
The people shall heare, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
GenevaThe people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.
שָֽׁמְע֥וּ עַמִּ֖ים יִרְגָּז֑וּ/ן חִ֣יל אָחַ֔ז יֹשְׁבֵ֖י פְּלָֽשֶׁת
Then the dukes of Edom shal be amased: the mighty men of Moab trembling shall take hold vpon them: all the inhabitants of Canaan shal melt away.
GenevaThen the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.
אָ֤ז נִבְהֲלוּ֙ אַלּוּפֵ֣י אֱד֔וֹם אֵילֵ֣י מוֹאָ֔ב יֹֽאחֲזֵ֖/מוֹ רָ֑עַד נָמֹ֕גוּ כֹּ֖ל יֹשְׁבֵ֥י כְנָֽעַן
Feare and dread shall fall vpon them, by the greatnesse of thine arme they shall be as still as a stone, till thy people passe ouer, O LORD, till the people passe ouer which thou hast purchased.
GenevaFeare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.
תִּפֹּ֨ל עֲלֵי/הֶ֤ם אֵימָ֨תָ/ה֙ וָ/פַ֔חַד בִּ/גְדֹ֥ל זְרוֹעֲ/ךָ֖ יִדְּמ֣וּ כָּ/אָ֑בֶן עַד יַעֲבֹ֤ר עַמְּ/ךָ֙ יְהוָ֔ה עַֽד יַעֲבֹ֖ר עַם ז֥וּ קָנִֽיתָ
Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands haue established.
GenevaThou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.
תְּבִאֵ֗/מוֹ וְ/תִטָּעֵ֨/מוֹ֙ בְּ/הַ֣ר נַחֲלָֽתְ/ךָ֔ מָכ֧וֹן לְ/שִׁבְתְּ/ךָ֛ פָּעַ֖לְתָּ יְהוָ֑ה מִקְּדָ֕שׁ אֲדֹנָ֖/י כּוֹנְנ֥וּ יָדֶֽי/ךָ
The LORD shal reigne for euer and euer.
GenevaThe Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.
יְהוָ֥ה יִמְלֹ֖ךְ לְ/עֹלָ֥ם וָ/עֶֽד
For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his charets and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought againe the waters of the Sea vpon them: But the children of Israel went on drie land in the mids of the sea.

כִּ֣י בָא֩ ס֨וּס פַּרְעֹ֜ה בְּ/רִכְבּ֤/וֹ וּ/בְ/פָרָשָׁי/ו֙ בַּ/יָּ֔ם וַ/יָּ֧שֶׁב יְהוָ֛ה עֲלֵ/הֶ֖ם אֶת מֵ֣י הַ/יָּ֑ם וּ/בְנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הָלְכ֥וּ בַ/יַּבָּשָׁ֖ה בְּ/ת֥וֹךְ הַ/יָּֽם
¶ And Miriam the prophetesse the sister of Aaron, tooke a timbrell in her hand, and all the women went out after her, with timbrels & with dances.
GenevaAnd Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.
וַ/תִּקַּח֩ מִרְיָ֨ם הַ/נְּבִיאָ֜ה אֲח֧וֹת אַהֲרֹ֛ן אֶת הַ/תֹּ֖ף בְּ/יָדָ֑/הּ וַ/תֵּצֶ֤אןָ כָֽל הַ/נָּשִׁים֙ אַחֲרֶ֔י/הָ בְּ/תֻפִּ֖ים וּ/בִ/מְחֹלֹֽת
And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he throwen into the sea.
GenevaAnd Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.
וַ/תַּ֥עַן לָ/הֶ֖ם מִרְיָ֑ם שִׁ֤ירוּ לַֽ/יהוָה֙ כִּֽי גָאֹ֣ה גָּאָ֔ה ס֥וּס וְ/רֹכְב֖/וֹ רָמָ֥ה בַ/יָּֽם
So Moses brought Israel from the red sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no water.

וַ/יַּסַּ֨ע מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִ/יַּם ס֔וּף וַ/יֵּצְא֖וּ אֶל מִדְבַּר שׁ֑וּר וַ/יֵּלְכ֧וּ שְׁלֹֽשֶׁת יָמִ֛ים בַּ/מִּדְבָּ֖ר וְ/לֹא מָ֥צְאוּ מָֽיִם
¶ And when they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

וַ/יָּבֹ֣אוּ מָרָ֔תָ/ה וְ/לֹ֣א יָֽכְל֗וּ לִ/שְׁתֹּ֥ת מַ֨יִם֙ מִ/מָּרָ֔ה כִּ֥י מָרִ֖ים הֵ֑ם עַל כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא שְׁמָ֖/הּ מָרָֽה
And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall wee drinke?

וַ/יִּלֹּ֧נוּ הָ/עָ֛ם עַל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּ/אמֹ֖ר מַה נִּשְׁתֶּֽה
And he cried vnto the LORD: and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when hee had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweete: there he made a statute & an ordinance, and there he proued them,

וַ/יִּצְעַ֣ק אֶל יְהוָ֗ה וַ/יּוֹרֵ֤/הוּ יְהוָה֙ עֵ֔ץ וַ/יַּשְׁלֵךְ֙ אֶל הַ/מַּ֔יִם וַֽ/יִּמְתְּק֖וּ הַ/מָּ֑יִם שָׁ֣ם שָׂ֥ם ל֛/וֹ חֹ֥ק וּ/מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וְ/שָׁ֥ם נִסָּֽ/הוּ
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt doe that which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare to his Commandements, and keepe all his Statutes, I will put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I haue brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
GenevaAnd sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
וַ/יֹּאמֶר֩ אִם שָׁמ֨וֹעַ תִּשְׁמַ֜ע לְ/ק֣וֹל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗י/ךָ וְ/הַ/יָּשָׁ֤ר בְּ/עֵינָי/ו֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה וְ/הַֽאֲזַנְתָּ֙ לְ/מִצְוֺתָ֔י/ו וְ/שָׁמַרְתָּ֖ כָּל חֻקָּ֑י/ו כָּֽל הַ/מַּֽחֲלָ֞ה אֲשֶׁר שַׂ֤מְתִּי בְ/מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ לֹא אָשִׂ֣ים עָלֶ֔י/ךָ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה רֹפְאֶֽ/ךָ
¶ And they came to Elim: where were twelue wels of water, and threescore and ten palme trees, and they encamped there by the waters.

וַ/יָּבֹ֣אוּ אֵילִ֔מָ/ה וְ/שָׁ֗ם שְׁתֵּ֥ים עֶשְׂרֵ֛ה עֵינֹ֥ת מַ֖יִם וְ/שִׁבְעִ֣ים תְּמָרִ֑ים וַ/יַּחֲנוּ שָׁ֖ם עַל הַ/מָּֽיִם
