And the LORD said vnto Moses, See, I haue made thee a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother shalbe thy prophet.
GenevaThen the Lord saide to Moses, Behold, I haue made thee Pharaohs God, and Aaron thy brother shall be thy Prophet.
וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה רְאֵ֛ה נְתַתִּ֥י/ךָ אֱלֹהִ֖ים לְ/פַרְעֹ֑ה וְ/אַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִ֖י/ךָ יִהְיֶ֥ה נְבִיאֶֽ/ךָ
Thou shalt speake all that I command thee, and Aaron thy brother shall speake vnto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
GenevaThou shalt speake all that I commanded thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speake vnto Pharaoh, that he suffer the children of Israel to go out of his land.
אַתָּ֣ה תְדַבֵּ֔ר אֵ֖ת כָּל אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲצַוֶּ֑/ךָּ וְ/אַהֲרֹ֤ן אָחִ֨י/ךָ֙ יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֶל פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְ/שִׁלַּ֥ח אֶת בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵ/אַרְצֽ/וֹ
And I will harden Pharaohs heart, and multiplie my signes and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

וַ/אֲנִ֥י אַקְשֶׁ֖ה אֶת לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְ/הִרְבֵּיתִ֧י אֶת אֹתֹתַ֛/י וְ/אֶת מוֹפְתַ֖/י בְּ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם
But Pharaoh shall not hearken vnto you, that I may lay my hand vpon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt, by great iudgments.

And the Egyptians shall knowe that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand vpon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.

And Moses was fourescore yeres olde, and Aaron fourescore and three yeeres old, when they spake vnto Pharaoh.

¶ And the LORD spake vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, saying:

When Pharaoh shall speake vnto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.

¶ And Moses and Aaron went in vnto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast downe his rod before Pharaoh, and before his seruants, and it became a serpent.
GenevaThen went Moses and Aaron vnto Pharaoh, and did euen as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast forth his rod before Pharaoh and before his seruants, and it was turned into a serpent.

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; now the Magicians of Egypt, they also did in like maner with their enchantments.
GenevaThen Pharaoh called also for the wise men and sorcerers: and those charmers also of Egypt did in like maner with their enchantmens,
וַ/יִּקְרָא֙ גַּם פַּרְעֹ֔ה לַֽ/חֲכָמִ֖ים וְ/לַֽ/מְכַשְּׁפִ֑ים וַ/יַּֽעֲשׂ֨וּ גַם הֵ֜ם חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֛יִם בְּ/לַהֲטֵי/הֶ֖ם כֵּֽן
For they cast downe euery man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aarons rod swallowed vp their rods.

וַ/יַּשְׁלִ֨יכוּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ מַטֵּ֔/הוּ וַ/יִּהְי֖וּ לְ/תַנִּינִ֑ם וַ/יִּבְלַ֥ע מַטֵּֽה אַהֲרֹ֖ן אֶת מַטֹּתָֽ/ם
And hee hardened Pharaohs heart, that hee hearkened not vnto them, as the LORD had said.
GenevaSo Pharaohs heart was hardened, and hee hearkened not to them, as the Lord had saide.
וַ/יֶּחֱזַק֙ לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְ/לֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵ/הֶ֑ם כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָֽה
¶ And the LORD saide vnto Moses, Pharaohs heart is hardened: he refuseth to let the people goe.
GenevaThe Lord then saide vnto Moses, Pharaohs heart is obstinate, hee refuseth to let the people goe.
וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה כָּבֵ֖ד לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה מֵאֵ֖ן לְ/שַׁלַּ֥ח הָ/עָֽם
Get thee vnto Pharaoh in the morning, loe, he goeth out vnto the water, and thou shalt stand by the riuers brinke, against hee come: and the rod which was turned to a serpent, shalt thou take in thine hand.
GenevaGoe vnto Pharaoh in the morning, (loe, he will come forth vnto the water) and thou shalt stand and meete him by the riuers brinke, and the rod, which was turned into a serpent, shalt thou take in thine hand.
לֵ֣ךְ אֶל פַּרְעֹ֞ה בַּ/בֹּ֗קֶר הִנֵּה֙ יֹצֵ֣א הַ/מַּ֔יְמָ/ה וְ/נִצַּבְתָּ֥ לִ/קְרָאת֖/וֹ עַל שְׂפַ֣ת הַ/יְאֹ֑ר וְ/הַ/מַּטֶּ֛ה אֲשֶׁר נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ לְ/נָחָ֖שׁ תִּקַּ֥ח בְּ/יָדֶֽ/ךָ
And thou shalt say vnto him, The LORD God of the Hebrewes hath sent me vnto thee, saying; Let my people goe, that they may serue mee in the wildernesse: and beholde, hitherto thou wouldest not heare.

וְ/אָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗י/ו יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָ/עִבְרִים֙ שְׁלָחַ֤/נִי אֵלֶ֨י/ךָ֙ לֵ/אמֹ֔ר שַׁלַּח֙ אֶת עַמִּ֔/י וְ/יַֽעַבְדֻ֖/נִי בַּ/מִּדְבָּ֑ר וְ/הִנֵּ֥ה לֹא שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ עַד כֹּֽה
Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand, vpon the waters which are in the riuer, and they shalbe turned to blood.
GenevaThus saith the Lord, In this shalt thou know that I am the Lord: behold, I wil smite with the rodde that is in mine hand vpon the water that is in the riuer, and it shalbe turned to blood.
כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה בְּ/זֹ֣את תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֖י אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י מַכֶּ֣ה בַּ/מַּטֶּ֣ה אֲשֶׁר בְּ/יָדִ֗/י עַל הַ/מַּ֛יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּ/יְאֹ֖ר וְ/נֶהֶפְכ֥וּ לְ/דָֽם
And the fish that is in the riuer shall die, and the riuer shall stincke, and the Egyptians shall loathe to drinke of the water of the riuer.
GenevaAnd the fish that is in the riuer shall dye, and the riuer shall stinke, and it shall grieue the Egyptians to drinke of the water of the riuer.
וְ/הַ/דָּגָ֧ה אֲשֶׁר בַּ/יְאֹ֛ר תָּמ֖וּת וּ/בָאַ֣שׁ הַ/יְאֹ֑ר וְ/נִלְא֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִ/שְׁתּ֥וֹת מַ֖יִם מִן הַ/יְאֹֽר
¶ And the LORD spake vnto Moses, Say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod, & stretch out thine hand vpon the waters of Egypt, vpon their streames, vpon their riuers, and vpon their ponds, and vpon all their pooles of water, that they may become blood, and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
GenevaThe Lord then spake to Moses, Say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand ouer the waters of Egypt, ouer their streames, ouer their riuers, and ouer their pondes,, and ouer all pooles of their waters, and they shalbe blood, and there shalbe blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and of stone.
וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֗ה אֱמֹ֣ר אֶֽל אַהֲרֹ֡ן קַ֣ח מַטְּ/ךָ֣ וּ/נְטֵֽה יָדְ/ךָ֩ עַל מֵימֵ֨י מִצְרַ֜יִם עַֽל נַהֲרֹתָ֣/ם עַל יְאֹרֵי/הֶ֣ם וְ/עַל אַגְמֵי/הֶ֗ם וְ/עַ֛ל כָּל מִקְוֵ֥ה מֵימֵי/הֶ֖ם וְ/יִֽהְיוּ דָ֑ם וְ/הָ֤יָה דָם֙ בְּ/כָל אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וּ/בָ/עֵצִ֖ים וּ/בָ/אֲבָנִֽים
And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded: and he lift vp the rod and smote the waters that were in the riuer, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his seruants: and all the waters that were in the riuer, were turned to blood.
GenevaSo Moses and Aaron did euen as the Lord commanded: and hee lift vp the rodde, and smote the water that was in the riuer in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his seruants: and all the water that was in the riuer, was turned into blood.

And the fish that was in the riuer died: and the riuer stunke, and the Egyptians could not drinke of the water of the riuer: and there was blood throughout all the land Egypt.
GenevaAnd the fish that was in the ryuer dyed, and the riuer stanke: so that the Egyptians could not drinke of the water of the riuer: and there was blood throughout all the lande of Egypt.
וְ/הַ/דָּגָ֨ה אֲשֶׁר בַּ/יְאֹ֥ר מֵ֨תָה֙ וַ/יִּבְאַ֣שׁ הַ/יְאֹ֔ר וְ/לֹא יָכְל֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִ/שְׁתּ֥וֹת מַ֖יִם מִן הַ/יְאֹ֑ר וַ/יְהִ֥י הַ/דָּ֖ם בְּ/כָל אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם
And the Magicians of Egypt did so, with their enchantments: and Pharaohs heart was hardened, neither did he hearken vnto them, as the LORD had said.
GenevaAnd the enchanters of Egypt did likewise with their sorceries: and the heart of Phraoh was hardened: so that he did not hearken vnto them, as the Lord had sayde.
וַ/יַּֽעֲשׂוּ כֵ֛ן חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם בְּ/לָטֵי/הֶ֑ם וַ/יֶּחֱזַ֤ק לֵב פַּרְעֹה֙ וְ/לֹא שָׁמַ֣ע אֲלֵ/הֶ֔ם כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָֽה
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did hee set his heart to this also.
GenevaThen Pharaoh returned, and went againe into his house, neither did this yet enter into his heart.
וַ/יִּ֣פֶן פַּרְעֹ֔ה וַ/יָּבֹ֖א אֶל בֵּית֑/וֹ וְ/לֹא שָׁ֥ת לִבּ֖/וֹ גַּם לָ/זֹֽאת
And all the Egyptians digged round about the riuer for water to drinke: for they could not drinke of the water of the riuer.
GenevaAll the Egyptians then digged rounde about the riuer for waters to drinke: for they could not drinke of the water of the riuer.
וַ/יַּחְפְּר֧וּ כָל מִצְרַ֛יִם סְבִיבֹ֥ת הַ/יְאֹ֖ר מַ֣יִם לִ/שְׁתּ֑וֹת כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָֽכְלוּ֙ לִ/שְׁתֹּ֔ת מִ/מֵּימֵ֖י הַ/יְאֹֽר
And seuen dayes were fulfilled after that the LORD had smitten the riuer.
GenevaAnd this continued fully seuen dayes after the Lord had smitten the riuer.
וַ/יִּמָּלֵ֖א שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים אַחֲרֵ֥י הַכּוֹת יְהוָ֖ה אֶת הַ/יְאֹֽר
