Psalms 135

Praise ye the LORD, Praise ye the Name of the LORD: prayse him, O ye seruants of the LORD.

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ הַֽ֭לְלוּ אֶת שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה הַֽ֝לְלוּ עַבְדֵ֥י יְהוָֽה

Yee that stand in the House of the LORD: in the courts of the house of our God.

GenevaYe that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,

שֶׁ֣֭/עֹֽמְדִים בְּ/בֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה בְּ֝/חַצְר֗וֹת בֵּ֣ית אֱלֹהֵֽי/נוּ

Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good: sing praises vnto his Name, for it is pleasant.

GenevaPraise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.

הַֽ֭לְלוּ יָהּ כִּי ט֣וֹב יְהוָ֑ה זַמְּר֥וּ לִ֝/שְׁמ֗/וֹ כִּ֣י נָעִֽים

For the LORD hath chosen Iacob vnto himselfe: and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

GenevaFor the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.

כִּֽי יַעֲקֹ֗ב בָּחַ֣ר ל֣/וֹ יָ֑הּ יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל לִ/סְגֻלָּתֽ/וֹ

For I know that the LORD is great: and that our Lord is aboue all gods.

כִּ֤י אֲנִ֣י יָ֭דַעְתִּי כִּי גָד֣וֹל יְהוָ֑ה וַ֝/אֲדֹנֵ֗י/נוּ מִ/כָּל אֱלֹהִֽים

Whatsoeuer the LORD pleased, that did he in heauen and in earth: in the Seas, and all deepe places.

כֹּ֤ל אֲשֶׁר חָפֵ֥ץ יְהוָ֗ה עָ֫שָׂ֥ה בַּ/שָּׁמַ֥יִם וּ/בָ/אָ֑רֶץ בַּ֝/יַּמִּ֗ים וְ/כָל תְּהוֹמֽוֹת

Hee causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth, he maketh lightnings for the raine: he bringeth the winde out of his treasuries.

GenevaHe bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.

מַֽעֲלֶ֣ה נְשִׂאִים֮ מִ/קְצֵ֪ה הָ֫/אָ֥רֶץ בְּרָקִ֣ים לַ/מָּטָ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה מֽוֹצֵא ר֝וּחַ מֵ/אֽוֹצְרוֹתָֽי/ו

Who smote the first borne of Egypt: both of man and beast.

GenevaHe smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.

שֶֽׁ֭/הִכָּה בְּכוֹרֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם מֵ֝/אָדָ֗ם עַד בְּהֵמָֽה

Who sent tokens and woonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt: vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.

שָׁלַ֤ח אֹת֣וֹת וּ֭/מֹפְתִים בְּ/תוֹכֵ֣/כִי מִצְרָ֑יִם בְּ֝/פַרְעֹ֗ה וּ/בְ/כָל עֲבָדָֽי/ו

Who smote great nations: and slew mightie kings:

GenevaHe smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:

שֶֽׁ֭/הִכָּה גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֑ים וְ֝/הָרַ֗ג מְלָכִ֥ים עֲצוּמִֽים

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan: and all the kingdomes of Canaan,

GenevaAs Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:

לְ/סִיח֤וֹן מֶ֤לֶךְ הָ/אֱמֹרִ֗י וּ֭/לְ/עוֹג מֶ֣לֶךְ הַ/בָּשָׁ֑ן וּ֝/לְ/כֹ֗ל מַמְלְכ֥וֹת כְּנָֽעַן

And gaue their land for an heritage: an heritage vnto Israel his people.

GenevaAnd gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.

וְ/נָתַ֣ן אַרְצָ֣/ם נַחֲלָ֑ה נַ֝חֲלָ֗ה לְ/יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל עַמּֽ/וֹ

Thy Name, O LORD, endureth for euer: and thy memoriall, O LORD, throughout all generations.

GenevaThy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.

יְ֭הוָה שִׁמְ/ךָ֣ לְ/עוֹלָ֑ם יְ֝הוָ֗ה זִכְרְ/ךָ֥ לְ/דֹר וָ/דֹֽר

For the LORD will iudge his people: and he will repent himselfe concerning his seruants.

GenevaFor the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.

כִּֽי יָדִ֣ין יְהוָ֣ה עַמּ֑/וֹ וְ/עַל עֲ֝בָדָ֗י/ו יִתְנֶחָֽם

The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde: the worke of mens hands.

עֲצַבֵּ֣י הַ֭/גּוֹיִם כֶּ֣סֶף וְ/זָהָ֑ב מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָֽם

They haue mouthes, but they speake not: eyes haue they, but they see not:

GenevaThey haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.

פֶּֽה לָ֭/הֶם וְ/לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ עֵינַ֥יִם לָ֝/הֶ֗ם וְ/לֹ֣א יִרְאֽוּ

They haue eares, but they heare not: neither is there any breath in their mouthes.

GenevaThey haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.

אָזְנַ֣יִם לָ֭/הֶם וְ/לֹ֣א יַאֲזִ֑ינוּ אַ֝֗ף אֵין יֶשׁ ר֥וּחַ בְּ/פִי/הֶֽם

They that make them are like vnto them: so is euery one that trusteth in them.

GenevaThey that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.

כְּ֭מוֹ/הֶם יִהְי֣וּ עֹשֵׂי/הֶ֑ם כֹּ֭ל אֲשֶׁר בֹּטֵ֣חַ בָּ/הֶֽם

Blesse the LORD, O house of Israel: blesse the LORD, O house of Aaron.

GenevaPraise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.

בֵּ֣ית יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל בָּרֲכ֣וּ אֶת יְהוָ֑ה בֵּ֥ית אַ֝הֲרֹ֗ן בָּרֲכ֥וּ אֶת יְהוָֽה

Blesse the LORD, O house of Leui: ye that feare the LORD, blesse the LORD.

בֵּ֣ית הַ֭/לֵּוִי בָּרֲכ֣וּ אֶת יְהוָ֑ה יִֽרְאֵ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה בָּרֲכ֥וּ אֶת יְהוָֽה

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion; which dwelleth at Ierusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
