Psalms 148

Praise yee the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heauens: praise him in the heights.

GenevaPraise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת יְ֭הוָה מִן הַ/שָּׁמַ֑יִם הַֽ֝לְל֗וּ/הוּ בַּ/מְּרוֹמִֽים

Praise yee him all his Angels: praise ye him all his hosts.

GenevaPrayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.

הַֽלְל֥וּ/הוּ כָל מַלְאָכָ֑י/ו הַֽ֝לְל֗וּ/הוּ כָּל צבא/ו

Praise ye him Sunne and Moone: praise him all ye starres of light.

GenevaPrayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

הַֽ֭לְלוּ/הוּ שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ וְ/יָרֵ֑חַ הַ֝לְל֗וּ/הוּ כָּל כּ֥וֹכְבֵי אֽוֹר

Praise him ye heauens of heauens: and ye waters that be aboue the heauens.

GenevaPrayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.

הַֽ֭לְלוּ/הוּ שְׁמֵ֣י הַ/שָּׁמָ֑יִם וְ֝/הַ/מַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר מֵ/עַ֬ל הַ/שָּׁמָֽיִם

Let them praise the Name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

יְֽ֭הַֽלְלוּ אֶת שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י ה֭וּא צִוָּ֣ה וְ/נִבְרָֽאוּ

Hee hath also stablished them for euer and euer: he hath made a decree which shall not passe.

GenevaAnd he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

וַ/יַּעֲמִידֵ֣/ם לָ/עַ֣ד לְ/עוֹלָ֑ם חָק נָ֝תַ֗ן וְ/לֹ֣א יַעֲבֽוֹר

Praise the LORD from the earth: ye dragons and all deepes.

GenevaPrayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:

הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת יְ֭הוָה מִן הָ/אָ֑רֶץ תַּ֝נִּינִ֗ים וְ/כָל תְּהֹמֽוֹת

Fire and haile, snow and vapour: stormie wind fulfilling his word.

GenevaFire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

אֵ֣שׁ וּ֭/בָרָד שֶׁ֣לֶג וְ/קִיט֑וֹר ר֥וּחַ סְ֝עָרָ֗ה עֹשָׂ֥ה דְבָרֽ/וֹ

Mountaines and all hilles: fruitfull trees, and all cedars.

GenevaMountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:

הֶ/הָרִ֥ים וְ/כָל גְּבָע֑וֹת עֵ֥ץ פְּ֝רִ֗י וְ/כָל אֲרָזִֽים

Beastes and all cattell: creeping things, and flying foule.

GenevaBeasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:

הַֽ/חַיָּ֥ה וְ/כָל בְּהֵמָ֑ה רֶ֝֗מֶשׂ וְ/צִפּ֥וֹר כָּנָֽף

Kings of the earth, and all people: Princes, and all Iudges of the earth.

GenevaKings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:

מַלְכֵי אֶ֭רֶץ וְ/כָל לְאֻמִּ֑ים שָׂ֝רִ֗ים וְ/כָל שֹׁ֥פְטֵי אָֽרֶץ

Both young men and maidens: olde men and children.

GenevaYong men and maidens, also olde men and children:

בַּחוּרִ֥ים וְ/גַם בְּתוּל֑וֹת זְ֝קֵנִ֗ים עִם נְעָרִֽים

Let them praise the Name of the LORD, for his Name alone is excellent: his glory is aboue the earth and heauen.

GenevaLet them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.

יְהַלְל֤וּ אֶת שֵׁ֬ם יְהוָ֗ה כִּֽי נִשְׂגָּ֣ב שְׁמ֣/וֹ לְ/בַדּ֑/וֹ ה֝וֹד֗/וֹ עַל אֶ֥רֶץ וְ/שָׁמָֽיִם

Hee also exalteth the horne of his people, the praise of all his Saints; euen of the children of Israel, a people neere vnto him. Praise ye the LORD.

GenevaFor he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.

וַ/יָּ֤רֶם קֶ֨רֶן לְ/עַמּ֡/וֹ תְּהִלָּ֤ה לְֽ/כָל חֲסִידָ֗י/ו לִ/בְנֵ֣י יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל עַֽם קְרֹב֗/וֹ הַֽלְלוּ יָֽהּ
