To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.

LORD, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought backe the captiuity of Iacob.
GenevaTo him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.
לַ/מְנַצֵּ֬חַ לִ/בְנֵי קֹ֬רַח מִזְמֽוֹר
Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, thou hast couered all their sinne. Selah.
GenevaThou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. Selah.
רָצִ֣יתָ יְהוָ֣ה אַרְצֶ֑/ךָ שַׁ֝֗בְתָּ שבות יַעֲקֹֽב
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thy selfe from the fiercenesse of thine anger.
GenevaThou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.
נָ֭שָׂאתָ עֲוֺ֣ן עַמֶּ֑/ךָ כִּסִּ֖יתָ כָל חַטָּאתָ֣/ם סֶֽלָה
Turne vs, O God of our saluation: and cause thine anger towards vs to cease.
GenevaTurne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.
אָסַ֥פְתָּ כָל עֶבְרָתֶ֑/ךָ הֱ֝שִׁיב֗וֹתָ מֵ/חֲר֥וֹן אַפֶּֽ/ךָ
Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? wilt thou drawe out thine anger to all generations?
GenevaWilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?
שׁ֭וּבֵ/נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעֵ֑/נוּ וְ/הָפֵ֖ר כַּֽעַסְ/ךָ֣ עִמָּֽ/נוּ
Wilt thou not reuiue vs againe: that thy people may reioyce in thee?
GenevaWilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?
הַ/לְ/עוֹלָ֥ם תֶּֽאֱנַף בָּ֑/נוּ תִּמְשֹׁ֥ךְ אַ֝פְּ/ךָ֗ לְ/דֹ֣ר וָ/דֹֽר
Shew vs thy mercy, O LORD; and graunt vs thy saluation.
GenevaShew vs thy mercie, O Lord, and graunt vs thy saluation.
הֲֽ/לֹא אַ֭תָּה תָּשׁ֣וּב תְּחַיֵּ֑/נוּ וְ֝/עַמְּ/ךָ֗ יִשְׂמְחוּ בָֽ/ךְ
I will heare what God the LORD will speake: for hee will speake peace vnto his people, and to his Saints: but let them not turne againe to folly.
GenevaI will hearken what the Lord God will say: for he will speake peace vnto his people, and to his Saintes, that they turne not againe to follie.
הַרְאֵ֣/נוּ יְהוָ֣ה חַסְדֶּ֑/ךָ וְ֝/יֶשְׁעֲ/ךָ֗ תִּתֶּן לָֽ/נוּ
Surely his saluation is nigh them that feare him; that glory may dwell in our land.
GenevaSurely his saluation is neere to them that feare him, that glory may dwell in our land.
אֶשְׁמְעָ֗ה מַה יְדַבֵּר֮ הָ/אֵ֪ל יְה֫וָ֥ה כִּ֤י יְדַבֵּ֬ר שָׁל֗וֹם אֶל עַמּ֥/וֹ וְ/אֶל חֲסִידָ֑י/ו וְֽ/אַל יָשׁ֥וּבוּ לְ/כִסְלָֽה
Mercy and truth are met together: righteousnesse and peace haue kissed each other.
GenevaMercie and trueth shall meete: righteousnes and peace shall kisse one another.
אַ֤ךְ קָר֣וֹב לִ/ירֵאָ֣י/ו יִשְׁע֑/וֹ לִ/שְׁכֹּ֖ן כָּב֣וֹד בְּ/אַרְצֵֽ/נוּ
Truth shall spring out of the earth: and righteousnesse shall looke downe from heauen.
GenevaTrueth shall bud out of the earth, and righteousnes shall looke downe from heauen.
חֶֽסֶד וֶ/אֱמֶ֥ת נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ צֶ֖דֶק וְ/שָׁל֣וֹם נָשָֽׁקוּ
Yea the LORD shall giue that which is good: and our land shall yeeld her increase.
GenevaYea, the Lord shall giue good things, and our land shall giue her increase.
אֱ֭מֶת מֵ/אֶ֣רֶץ תִּצְמָ֑ח וְ֝/צֶ֗דֶק מִ/שָּׁמַ֥יִם נִשְׁקָֽף
Righteousnes shall go before him: and shall set vs in the way of his steps.
GenevaRighteousnesse shall go before him, and shall set her steps in the way.
גַּם יְ֭הוָה יִתֵּ֣ן הַ/טּ֑וֹב וְ֝/אַרְצֵ֗/נוּ תִּתֵּ֥ן יְבוּלָֽ/הּ
