Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Ierusalem in Mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared vnto Dauid his father, in the place that Dauid had prepared in the threshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
GenevaSo Salomon began to buyld the house of the Lord in Ierusalem, in mount Moriah which had bene declared vnto Dauid his father, in the place that Dauid prepared in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
וַ/יָּ֣חֶל שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה לִ/בְנ֤וֹת אֶת בֵּית יְהוָה֙ בִּ/יר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם בְּ/הַר֙ הַ/מּ֣וֹרִיָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִרְאָ֖ה לְ/דָוִ֣יד אָבִ֑י/הוּ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֵכִין֙ בִּ/מְק֣וֹם דָּוִ֔יד בְּ/גֹ֖רֶן אָרְנָ֥ן הַ/יְבוּסִֽי
And he began to build in the second day of the second moneth, in the fourth yeere of his reigne.
GenevaAnd he beganne to buylde in the seconde moneth and the second day, in the fourth yeere of his reigne.
וַ֠/יָּחֶל לִ/בְנ֞וֹת בַּ/חֹ֤דֶשׁ הַ/שֵּׁנִי֙ בַּ/שֵּׁנִ֔י בִּ/שְׁנַ֥ת אַרְבַּ֖ע לְ/מַלְכוּתֽ/וֹ
¶ Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubites after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twentie cubites.
GenevaAnd these are the measures, whereon Salomon grounded to buylde the house of God: the length of cubites after the first measure was threescore cubites, and the breadth twenty cubites:
וְ/אֵ֨לֶּה֙ הוּסַ֣ד שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה לִ/בְנ֖וֹת אֶת בֵּ֣ית הָ/אֱלֹהִ֑ים הָ/אֹ֡רֶךְ אַמּ֞וֹת בַּ/מִּדָּ֤ה הָ/רִֽאשׁוֹנָה֙ אַמּ֣וֹת שִׁשִּׁ֔ים וְ/רֹ֖חַב אַמּ֥וֹת עֶשְׂרִֽים
And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was atcording to the breadth of the house, twentie cubites, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he ouerlaid it within, with pure gold.
GenevaAnd the porch, that was before the length in the front of the breadth was twentie cubits, and the height was an hundreth and twentie, and he ouerlayd it within with pure golde.
וְ/הָ/אוּלָ֡ם אֲשֶׁר֩ עַל פְּנֵ֨י הָ/אֹ֜רֶךְ עַל פְּנֵ֤י רֹֽחַב הַ/בַּ֨יִת֙ אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְ/הַ/גֹּ֖בַהּ מֵאָ֣ה וְ/עֶשְׂרִ֑ים וַ/יְצַפֵּ֥/הוּ מִ/פְּנִ֖ימָה זָהָ֥ב טָהֽוֹר
And the greater house hee sieled with firre tree, which he ouerlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palme trees and chaines.
GenevaAnd the greater house he sieled with firre tree which he ouerlayd with good golde, and graued thereon palme trees and chaines.
וְ/אֵ֣ת הַ/בַּ֣יִת הַ/גָּד֗וֹל חִפָּה֙ עֵ֣ץ בְּרוֹשִׁ֔ים וַ/יְחַפֵּ֖/הוּ זָהָ֣ב ט֑וֹב וַ/יַּ֧עַל עָלָ֛י/ו תִּמֹרִ֖ים וְ/שַׁרְשְׁרֽוֹת
And he garnished the house with precious stones for beautie, and the gold was gold of Paruaim.
GenevaAnd hee ouerlayde the house with precious stone for beautie: and the golde was gold of Paruaim.
וַ/יְצַ֧ף אֶת הַ/בַּ֛יִת אֶ֥בֶן יְקָרָ֖ה לְ/תִפְאָ֑רֶת וְ/הַ/זָּהָ֖ב זְהַ֥ב פַּרְוָֽיִם
Hee ouerlaid also the house, the beames, the postes and the wals thereof, and the doores thereof with gold, and graued Cherubims on the walles.
GenevaThe house, I say, the beames, postes, and walles thereof and the doores thereof ouerlayde he with gold, and graued Cherubims vpon the walles.
וַ/יְחַ֨ף אֶת הַ/בַּ֜יִת הַ/קֹּר֧וֹת הַ/סִּפִּ֛ים וְ/קִֽירוֹתָ֥י/ו וְ/דַלְתוֹתָ֖י/ו זָהָ֑ב וּ/פִתַּ֥ח כְּרוּבִ֖ים עַל הַ/קִּירֽוֹת
And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was, according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twentie cubits: and he ouerlaid it with fine gold amounting to sixe hundred talents.
GenevaHe made also the house of the most holy place: the length thereof was in the front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twentie cubites: and he ouerlayde it with the best golde, of sixe hundreth talents.
וַ/יַּ֨עַשׂ֙ אֶת בֵּֽית קֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ/קֳּדָשִׁ֔ים אָרְכּ֞/וֹ עַל פְּנֵ֤י רֹֽחַב הַ/בַּ֨יִת֙ אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְ/רָחְבּ֖/וֹ אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֑ים וַ/יְחַפֵּ֨/הוּ֙ זָהָ֣ב ט֔וֹב לְ/כִכָּרִ֖ים שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת
And the weight of the nailes was fiftie shekels of gold: and he ouerlaide the vpper chambers with gold.
GenevaAnd the weight of the nayles was fiftie shekels of golde, and hee ouerlayde the chambers with golde.
וּ/מִשְׁקָ֛ל לְ/מִסְמְר֥וֹת לִ/שְׁקָלִ֖ים חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים זָהָ֑ב וְ/הָ/עֲלִיּ֖וֹת חִפָּ֥ה זָהָֽב
And in the most holy place hee made two Cherubims of image work, and ouerlaid them with gold.
GenevaAnd in the house of the most holy place he made two Cherubims wrought like children, and ouerlayd them with golde.
וַ/יַּ֜עַשׂ בְּ/בֵֽית קֹ֤דֶשׁ הַ/קֳּדָשִׁים֙ כְּרוּבִ֣ים שְׁנַ֔יִם מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה צַעֲצֻעִ֑ים וַ/יְצַפּ֥וּ אֹתָ֖/ם זָהָֽב
¶ And the wings of the Cherubims were twentie cubites long: one wing of the one Cherub was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise fiue cubites, reaching to the wing of the other Cherub:
GenevaAnd the winges of the Cherubims were twentie cubites long: the one wing was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites, reaching to the wing of the other Cherub.
וְ/כַנְפֵי֙ הַ/כְּרוּבִ֔ים אָרְכָּ֖/ם אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֑ים כְּנַ֨ף הָ/אֶחָ֜ד לְ/אַמּ֣וֹת חָמֵ֗שׁ מַגַּ֨עַת֙ לְ/קִ֣יר הַ/בַּ֔יִת וְ/הַ/כָּנָ֤ף הָ/אַחֶ֨רֶת֙ אַמּ֣וֹת חָמֵ֔שׁ מַגִּ֕יעַ לִ/כְנַ֖ף הַ/כְּר֥וּב הָ/אַחֵֽר
And one wing of the other Cherub was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was fiue cubites also, ioyning to the wing of the other Cherub.
GenevaLikewise the wing of ye other Cherub was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites ioyning to the wing of the other Cherub.
וּ/כְנַ֨ף הַ/כְּר֤וּב הָ/אֶחָד֙ אַמּ֣וֹת חָמֵ֔שׁ מַגִּ֖יעַ לְ/קִ֣יר הַ/בָּ֑יִת וְ/הַ/כָּנָ֤ף הָ/אַחֶ֨רֶת֙ אַמּ֣וֹת חָמֵ֔שׁ דְּבֵקָ֕ה לִ/כְנַ֖ף הַ/כְּר֥וּב הָ/אַחֵֽר
The wings of these Cherubims spread themselues forth twentie cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.
GenevaThe wings of these Cherubims were spread abroade twentie cubites: they stoode on their feete, and their faces were toward the house.
כַּנְפֵי֙ הַ/כְּרוּבִ֣ים הָ/אֵ֔לֶּה פֹּֽרְשִׂ֖ים אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֑ים וְ/הֵ֛ם עֹמְדִ֥ים עַל רַגְלֵי/הֶ֖ם וּ/פְנֵי/הֶ֥ם לַ/בָּֽיִת
¶ And he made the vaile of blue and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought Cherubims thereon.
GenevaHe made also the vaile of blew silke and purple, and crimosin, and fine linen, and wrought Cherubims thereon.
וַ/יַּ֨עַשׂ֙ אֶת הַ/פָּרֹ֔כֶת תְּכֵ֥לֶת וְ/אַרְגָּמָ֖ן וְ/כַרְמִ֣יל וּ/ב֑וּץ וַ/יַּ֥עַל עָלָ֖י/ו כְּרוּבִֽים
Also hee made before the house, two pillars of thirtie and fiue cubites high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them, was fiue cubites.
GenevaAnd he made before the house two pillars of fiue and thirtie cubites hie: and the chapiter that was vpon the top of eche of them, was fiue cubites.
וַ/יַּ֜עַשׂ לִ/פְנֵ֤י הַ/בַּ֨יִת֙ עַמּוּדִ֣ים שְׁנַ֔יִם אַמּ֕וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וְ/חָמֵ֖שׁ אֹ֑רֶךְ וְ/הַ/צֶּ֥פֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל רֹאשׁ֖/וֹ אַמּ֥וֹת חָמֵֽשׁ
And he made chaines, as in the Oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars, and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chaines.
GenevaHe made also chaines for the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars, and made an hundreth pomegranates, and put them among the chaines.
וַ/יַּ֤עַשׂ שַׁרְשְׁרוֹת֙ בַּ/דְּבִ֔יר וַ/יִּתֵּ֖ן עַל רֹ֣אשׁ הָ/עַמֻּדִ֑ים וַ/יַּ֤עַשׂ רִמּוֹנִים֙ מֵאָ֔ה וַ/יִּתֵּ֖ן בַּֽ/שַּׁרְשְׁרֽוֹת
And he reared vp the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left, and called the name of that on the right hand, Iachin, and the name of that on the left, Boaz.
GenevaAnd he set vp the pillars before the Temple, one on the right hande and the other on the left, and called that on the right hand Iachin, and that on the left hand Boaz.
וַ/יָּ֤קֶם אֶת הָֽ/עַמּוּדִים֙ עַל פְּנֵ֣י הַ/הֵיכָ֔ל אֶחָ֥ד מִ/יָּמִ֖ין וְ/אֶחָ֣ד מֵֽ/הַ/שְּׂמֹ֑אול וַ/יִּקְרָ֤א שֵׁם ה/ימיני יָכִ֔ין וְ/שֵׁ֥ם הַ/שְּׂמָאלִ֖י בֹּֽעַז
