Thou shalt not see thy brothers oxe, or his sheepe go astray, and hide thy selfe from them: thou shalt in any case bring them againe vnto thy brother.
GenevaThou shalt not see thy brothers oxe nor his sheepe go astray, and withdraw thy selfe from them, but shalt bring the againe vnto thy brother.
לֹֽא תִרְאֶה֩ אֶת שׁ֨וֹר אָחִ֜י/ךָ א֤וֹ אֶת שֵׂי/וֹ֙ נִדָּחִ֔ים וְ/הִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖ מֵ/הֶ֑ם הָשֵׁ֥ב תְּשִׁיבֵ֖/ם לְ/אָחִֽי/ךָ
And if thy brother be not nigh vnto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it vnto thine owne house, and it shall be with thee, vntil thy brother seeke after it, and thou shalt restore it to him againe.
GenevaAnd if thy brother bee not neere vnto thee, or if thou knowe him not, then thou shalt bring it into thine house, and it shall remaine with thee, vntill thy brother seeke after it: then shalt thou deliuer it to him againe.
וְ/אִם לֹ֨א קָר֥וֹב אָחִ֛י/ךָ אֵלֶ֖י/ךָ וְ/לֹ֣א יְדַעְתּ֑/וֹ וַ/אֲסַפְתּ/וֹ֙ אֶל תּ֣וֹךְ בֵּיתֶ֔/ךָ וְ/הָיָ֣ה עִמְּ/ךָ֗ עַ֣ד דְּרֹ֤שׁ אָחִ֨י/ךָ֙ אֹת֔/וֹ וַ/הֲשֵׁבֹת֖/וֹ לֽ/וֹ
In like maner shalt thou do with his asse, and so shalt thou doe with his raiment: and with all lost thing of thy brothers which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thy selfe.

¶ Thou shalt not see thy brothers asse or his oxe fall downe by the way, and hide thy selfe from them: thou shalt surely helpe him to lift them vp againe.
GenevaThou shalt not see thy brothers asse nor his oxe fal downe by the way, and withdrawe thy selfe from them, but shalt lift them vp with him.

¶ The woman shall not weare that which pertaineth vnto a man, neither shall a man put on a womans garment: for all that doe so, are abomination vnto the LORD thy God.

¶ If a birds nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be yong ones, or egges, and the damme sitting vpon the yong, or vpon the egges, thou shalt not take the damme with the yong.

¶ Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diuers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sowen, and the fruit of thy Uineyard be defiled.

לֹא תִזְרַ֥ע כַּרְמְ/ךָ֖ כִּלְאָ֑יִם פֶּן תִּקְדַּ֗שׁ הַֽ/מְלֵאָ֤ה הַ/זֶּ֨רַע֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּזְרָ֔ע וּ/תְבוּאַ֖ת הַ/כָּֽרֶם
¶ Thou shalt not plow with an oxe and an asse together.

¶ If any man take a wife, and go in vnto her, and hate her,

כִּֽי יִקַּ֥ח אִ֖ישׁ אִשָּׁ֑ה וּ/בָ֥א אֵלֶ֖י/הָ וּ/שְׂנֵאָֽ/הּ
And giue occasions of speach against her, and bring vp an euill name vpon her, and say, I tooke this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a mayd:
GenevaAnd laye slaunderous thinges vnto her charge, and bring vp an euill name vpon her, and say, I tooke this wife, and when I came to her, I found her not a mayde,
וְ/שָׂ֥ם לָ/הּ֙ עֲלִילֹ֣ת דְּבָרִ֔ים וְ/הוֹצִ֥יא עָלֶ֖י/הָ שֵׁ֣ם רָ֑ע וְ/אָמַ֗ר אֶת הָ/אִשָּׁ֤ה הַ/זֹּאת֙ לָקַ֔חְתִּי וָ/אֶקְרַ֣ב אֵלֶ֔י/הָ וְ/לֹא מָצָ֥אתִי לָ֖/הּ בְּתוּלִֽים
Then shal the father of the damosell, and her mother take, and bring forth the tokens of the damosels virginitie, vnto the Elders of the citie in the gate.
GenevaThen shall the father of the mayde and her mother take and bring the signes of the maydes virginitie vnto the Elders of the citie to the gate.
וְ/לָקַ֛ח אֲבִ֥י ה/נער וְ/אִמָּ֑/הּ וְ/הוֹצִ֜יאוּ אֶת בְּתוּלֵ֧י ה/נער אֶל זִקְנֵ֥י הָ/עִ֖יר הַ/שָּֽׁעְרָ/ה
And the damosels father shall say vnto the Elders, I gaue my daughter vnto this man to wife, & he hateth her:
GenevaAnd the maydes father shall say vnto the Elders, I gaue my daughter vnto this man to wife, and he hateth her:
וְ/אָמַ֛ר אֲבִ֥י ה/נער אֶל הַ/זְּקֵנִ֑ים אֶת בִּתִּ֗/י נָתַ֜תִּי לָ/אִ֥ישׁ הַ/זֶּ֛ה לְ/אִשָּׁ֖ה וַ/יִּשְׂנָאֶֽ/הָ
And loe, he hath giuen occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid: and yet these are the tokens of my daughters virginity; and they shall spread the cloth before the Elders of the citie.
GenevaAnd lo, he layeth slaunderous things vnto her charge, saying, I founde not thy daughter a mayde: loe, these are the tokens of my daughters virginitie: and they shall spreade the vesture before the Elders of the citie.
וְ/הִנֵּה ה֡וּא שָׂם֩ עֲלִילֹ֨ת דְּבָרִ֜ים לֵ/אמֹ֗ר לֹֽא מָצָ֤אתִי לְ/בִתְּ/ךָ֙ בְּתוּלִ֔ים וְ/אֵ֖לֶּה בְּתוּלֵ֣י בִתִּ֑/י וּ/פָֽרְשׂוּ֙ הַ/שִּׂמְלָ֔ה לִ/פְנֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י הָ/עִֽיר
And the Elders of that citie shall take that man, and chastise him.
GenevaThen the Elders of the citie shall take that man and chastise him,
וְ/לָֽקְח֛וּ זִקְנֵ֥י הָֽ/עִיר הַ/הִ֖וא אֶת הָ/אִ֑ישׁ וְ/יִסְּר֖וּ אֹתֽ/וֹ
And they shall amearse him in an hundred shekels of siluer, and giue them vnto the father of the damosell, because he hath brought vp an euill name vpon a virgine of Israel: and she shall be his wife, hee may not put her away all his dayes.
GenevaAnd shall condemne him in an hundreth shekels of siluer, and giue them vnto the father of the mayde, because he hath brought vp an euill name vpon a mayde of Israel: and she shalbe his wife, and he may not put her away all his life.
וְ/עָנְשׁ֨וּ אֹת֜/וֹ מֵ֣אָה כֶ֗סֶף וְ/נָתְנוּ֙ לַ/אֲבִ֣י הַֽ/נַּעֲרָ֔ה כִּ֤י הוֹצִיא֙ שֵׁ֣ם רָ֔ע עַ֖ל בְּתוּלַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְ/לֽ/וֹ תִהְיֶ֣ה לְ/אִשָּׁ֔ה לֹא יוּכַ֥ל לְ/שַּׁלְּחָ֖/הּ כָּל יָמָֽי/ו
But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginitie be not found for the damosel:
GenevaBut if this thing be true, that the mayde be not found a virgine,
וְ/אִם אֱמֶ֣ת הָיָ֔ה הַ/דָּבָ֖ר הַ/זֶּ֑ה לֹא נִמְצְא֥וּ בְתוּלִ֖ים ל/נער
Then they shall bring out the damosell to the doore of her fathers house, and the men of her city shal stone her with stones that she die, because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her fathers house: so shalt thou put euill away from among you.
GenevaThen shall they bring forth the mayde to the doore of her fathers house, and the men of her citie shall stone her with stones to death: for shee hath wrought follie in Israel, by playing ye whore in her fathers house: so thou shalt put euill away from among you.
וְ/הוֹצִ֨יאוּ אֶת ה/נער אֶל פֶּ֣תַח בֵּית אָבִ֗י/הָ וּ/סְקָלוּ/הָ֩ אַנְשֵׁ֨י עִירָ֤/הּ בָּ/אֲבָנִים֙ וָ/מֵ֔תָה כִּֽי עָשְׂתָ֤ה נְבָלָה֙ בְּ/יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לִ/זְנ֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֑י/הָ וּ/בִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָ/רָ֖ע מִ/קִּרְבֶּֽ/ךָ
¶ If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away euill from Israel.
GenevaIf a man be found lying with a woman marryed to a man, then they shall dye euen both twaine: to wit, the man that lay with the wife, and the wife: so thou shalt put away euil from Israel.
כִּֽי יִמָּצֵ֨א אִ֜ישׁ שֹׁכֵ֣ב עִם אִשָּׁ֣ה בְעֻֽלַת בַּ֗עַל וּ/מֵ֨תוּ֙ גַּם שְׁנֵי/הֶ֔ם הָ/אִ֛ישׁ הַ/שֹּׁכֵ֥ב עִם הָ/אִשָּׁ֖ה וְ/הָ/אִשָּׁ֑ה וּ/בִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָ/רָ֖ע מִ/יִּשְׂרָאֵֽל
¶ If a damosell that is a virgin be betrothed vnto an husband, and a man find her in the citie, and lie with her:
GenevaIf a maid be betrothed vnto an husband, and a man finde her in the towne and lye with her,
כִּ֤י יִהְיֶה֙ נער בְתוּלָ֔ה מְאֹרָשָׂ֖ה לְ/אִ֑ישׁ וּ/מְצָאָ֥/הּ אִ֛ישׁ בָּ/עִ֖יר וְ/שָׁכַ֥ב עִמָּֽ/הּ
Then yee shall bring them both out vnto the gate of that citie, and yee shall stone them with stones that they die; the damosel, because shee cried not, being in the citie; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbours wife: so thou shalt put away euill from among you.
GenevaThen shall yee bring them both out vnto the gates of the same citie, and shall stone them with stones to death: the mayde because she cried not, being in the citie, and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbours wife: so thou shalt put away euill from among you.
וְ/הוֹצֵאתֶ֨ם אֶת שְׁנֵי/הֶ֜ם אֶל שַׁ֣עַר הָ/עִ֣יר הַ/הִ֗וא וּ/סְקַלְתֶּ֨ם אֹתָ֥/ם בָּ/אֲבָנִים֮ וָ/מֵתוּ֒ אֶת ה/נער עַל דְּבַר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא צָעֲקָ֣ה בָ/עִ֔יר וְ/אֶ֨ת הָ/אִ֔ישׁ עַל דְּבַ֥ר אֲשֶׁר עִנָּ֖ה אֶת אֵ֣שֶׁת רֵעֵ֑/הוּ וּ/בִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָ/רָ֖ע מִ/קִּרְבֶּֽ/ךָ
¶ But if a man find a betrothed damosel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her, shall die.
GenevaBut if a man finde a betrothed mayde in the field, and force her, and lye with her, then the man that lay with her, shall dye alone:
וְֽ/אִם בַּ/שָּׂדֶ֞ה יִמְצָ֣א הָ/אִ֗ישׁ אֶת ה/נער הַ/מְאֹ֣רָשָׂ֔ה וְ/הֶחֱזִֽיק בָּ֥/הּ הָ/אִ֖ישׁ וְ/שָׁכַ֣ב עִמָּ֑/הּ וּ/מֵ֗ת הָ/אִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר שָׁכַ֥ב עִמָּ֖/הּ לְ/בַדּֽ/וֹ
But vnto the damosel thou shalt doe nothing, there is in the damosel no sinne worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, euen so is this matter.
GenevaAnd vnto the mayd thou shalt do nothing, because there is in the mayde no cause of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour and woundeth him to death, so is this matter.
ו/ל/נער לֹא תַעֲשֶׂ֣ה דָבָ֔ר אֵ֥ין ל/נער חֵ֣טְא מָ֑וֶת כִּ֡י כַּ/אֲשֶׁר֩ יָק֨וּם אִ֤ישׁ עַל רֵעֵ֨/הוּ֙ וּ/רְצָח֣/וֹ נֶ֔פֶשׁ כֵּ֖ן הַ/דָּבָ֥ר הַ/זֶּֽה
For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damosel cried, and there was none to saue her.
GenevaFor he found her in the fieldes: the betrothed mayde cryed, and there was no man to succour her.
כִּ֥י בַ/שָּׂדֶ֖ה מְצָאָ֑/הּ צָעֲקָ֗ה ה/נער הַ/מְאֹ֣רָשָׂ֔ה וְ/אֵ֥ין מוֹשִׁ֖יעַ לָֽ/הּ
¶ If a man finde a damosel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:

כִּֽי יִמְצָ֣א אִ֗ישׁ נער בְתוּלָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא אֹרָ֔שָׂה וּ/תְפָשָׂ֖/הּ וְ/שָׁכַ֣ב עִמָּ֑/הּ וְ/נִמְצָֽאוּ
Then the man that lay with her, shall giue vnto the damosels father fifty shekels of siluer, and she shalbe his wife, because he hath humbled her: he may not put her away all his dayes.
