Chapter 27
Isaiah 27
In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sworde shall punish Leuiathan the piercing serpent, euen Leuiathan that crooked serpent, and hee shall slay the dragon that is in the Sea.

בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/ה֡וּא יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהוָה֩ בְּ/חַרְב֨/וֹ הַ/קָּשָׁ֜ה וְ/הַ/גְּדוֹלָ֣ה וְ/הַֽ/חֲזָקָ֗ה עַ֤ל לִוְיָתָן֙ נָחָ֣שׁ בָּרִ֔חַ וְ/עַל֙ לִוְיָתָ֔ן נָחָ֖שׁ עֲקַלָּת֑וֹן וְ/הָרַ֥ג אֶת הַ/תַּנִּ֖ין אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּ/יָּֽם
In that day, sing yee vnto her; A vineyard of red wine.
GenevaIn that daye sing of the vineyarde of redde wine.
בַּ/יּ֖וֹם הַ/ה֑וּא כֶּ֥רֶם חֶ֖מֶד עַנּוּ לָֽ/הּ
I the LORD doe keepe it; I will water it euery moment: lest any hurt it, I will keepe it night and day.

אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ נֹֽצְרָ֔/הּ לִ/רְגָעִ֖ים אַשְׁקֶ֑/נָּה פֶּ֚ן יִפְקֹ֣ד עָלֶ֔י/הָ לַ֥יְלָה וָ/י֖וֹם אֶצֳּרֶֽ/נָּה
Furie is not in mee: who would set the briars and thornes against me in battell? I would goe through them, I would burne them together.

חֵמָ֖ה אֵ֣ין לִ֑/י מִֽי יִתְּנֵ֜/נִי שָׁמִ֥יר שַׁ֨יִת֙ בַּ/מִּלְחָמָ֔ה אֶפְשְׂעָ֥ה בָ֖/הּ אֲצִיתֶ֥/נָּה יָּֽחַד
Or let him take holde of my strength, that he may make peace with me, and he shall make peace with me.
GenevaOr will he feele my strength, that he may make peace with me, and be at one with me?
א֚וֹ יַחֲזֵ֣ק בְּ/מָעוּזִּ֔/י יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה שָׁל֖וֹם לִ֑/י שָׁל֖וֹם יַֽעֲשֶׂה לִּֽ/י
Hee shall cause them that come of Iacob to take roote: Israel shall blossome and budde, and fill the face of the world with fruite.
GenevaHereafter, Iaakob shall take roote: Israel shall florish and growe, and the world shall be filled with fruite.
הַ/בָּאִים֙ יַשְׁרֵ֣שׁ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב יָצִ֥יץ וּ/פָרַ֖ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּ/מָלְא֥וּ פְנֵי תֵבֵ֖ל תְּנוּבָֽה
¶ Hath hee smitten him, as hee smote those that smote him? or is hee slaine according to the slaughter of them that are slaine by him?
GenevaHath hee smitten him as hee smote those that smote him? or is hee slaine according to the slaughter of them that were slaine by him?
הַ/כְּ/מַכַּ֥ת מַכֵּ֖/הוּ הִכָּ֑/הוּ אִם כְּ/הֶ֥רֶג הֲרֻגָ֖י/ו הֹרָֽג
In measure when it shooteth foorth, thou wilt debate with it: hee stayeth his rough winde in the day of the East winde.
GenevaIn measure in the branches thereof wilt thou contende with it, when he bloweth with his rough winde in the day of the East winde.
בְּ/סַּאסְּאָ֖ה בְּ/שַׁלְחָ֣/הּ תְּרִיבֶ֑/נָּה הָגָ֛ה בְּ/רוּח֥/וֹ הַ/קָּשָׁ֖ה בְּ/י֥וֹם קָדִֽים
By this therefore shall the iniquitie of Iacob be purged, and this is all the fruit, to take away his sinne: when he maketh all the stones of the Altar as chalke stones, that are beaten in sunder, the groues and images shall not stand vp.

לָ/כֵ֗ן בְּ/זֹאת֙ יְכֻפַּ֣ר עֲוֺֽן יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְ/זֶ֕ה כָּל פְּרִ֖י הָסִ֣ר חַטָּאת֑/וֹ בְּ/שׂוּמ֣/וֹ כָּל אַבְנֵ֣י מִזְבֵּ֗חַ כְּ/אַבְנֵי גִר֙ מְנֻפָּצ֔וֹת לֹֽא יָקֻ֥מוּ אֲשֵׁרִ֖ים וְ/חַמָּנִֽים
Yet the defenced citie shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wildernesse: there shall the calfe feede, and there shall he lie downe, and consume the branches thereof.

כִּ֣י עִ֤יר בְּצוּרָה֙ בָּדָ֔ד נָוֶ֕ה מְשֻׁלָּ֥ח וְ/נֶעֱזָ֖ב כַּ/מִּדְבָּ֑ר שָׁ֣ם יִרְעֶ֥ה עֵ֛גֶל וְ/שָׁ֥ם יִרְבָּ֖ץ וְ/כִלָּ֥ה סְעִפֶֽי/הָ
When the boughes thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come and set them on fire: for it is a people of no vnderstanding: therefore hee that made them will not haue mercie on them, and hee that formed them, will shewe them no fauour.

בִּ/יבֹ֤שׁ קְצִירָ/הּ֙ תִּשָּׁבַ֔רְנָה נָשִׁ֕ים בָּא֖וֹת מְאִיר֣וֹת אוֹתָ֑/הּ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א עַם בִּינוֹת֙ ה֔וּא עַל כֵּן֙ לֹֽא יְרַחֲמֶ֣/נּוּ עֹשֵׂ֔/הוּ וְ/יֹצְר֖/וֹ לֹ֥א יְחֻנֶּֽ/נּוּ
¶ And it shall come to passe in that day, that the LORD shall beate off from the chanell of the riuer vnto the streame of Egypt, and ye shall bee gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
GenevaAnd in that day shall the Lord thresh from the chanell of the Riuer vnto the riuer of Egypt, and ye shalbe gathered, one by one, O children of Israel.
וְ/הָיָה֙ בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/ה֔וּא יַחְבֹּ֧ט יְהוָ֛ה מִ/שִּׁבֹּ֥לֶת הַ/נָּהָ֖ר עַד נַ֣חַל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ/אַתֶּ֧ם תְּלֻקְּט֛וּ לְ/אַחַ֥ד אֶחָ֖ד בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
And it shall come to passe in that day, that the great trumpet shall bee blowen, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Ierusalem.

וְ/הָיָ֣ה בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/ה֗וּא יִתָּקַע֮ בְּ/שׁוֹפָ֣ר גָּדוֹל֒ וּ/בָ֗אוּ הָ/אֹֽבְדִים֙ בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ אַשּׁ֔וּר וְ/הַ/נִּדָּחִ֖ים בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ/הִשְׁתַּחֲו֧וּ לַ/יהוָ֛ה בְּ/הַ֥ר הַ/קֹּ֖דֶשׁ בִּ/ירוּשָׁלִָֽם
