Chapter 25
Job 25
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
GenevaThen answered Bildad the Shuhite, and sayd,
וַ֭/יַּעַן בִּלְדַּ֥ד הַ/שֻּׁחִ֗י וַ/יֹּאמַֽר
Dominion and feare are with him, hee maketh peace in his high places.
GenevaPower and feare is with him, that maketh peace in his hie places.
הַמְשֵׁ֣ל וָ/פַ֣חַד עִמּ֑/וֹ עֹשֶׂ֥ה שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם בִּ/מְרוֹמָֽי/ו
Is there any number of his armies? and vpon whom doeth not his light arise?
GenevaIs there any nomber in his armies? and vpon whom shall not his light arise?
הֲ/יֵ֣שׁ מִ֭סְפָּר לִ/גְדוּדָ֑י/ו וְ/עַל מִ֝֗י לֹא יָק֥וּם אוֹרֵֽ/הוּ
How then can man bee iustified with God? or how can he be cleane that is borne of a woman?
GenevaAnd howe may a man be iustified with God? or how can he be cleane, that is borne of woman?
וּ/מַה יִּצְדַּ֣ק אֱנ֣וֹשׁ עִם אֵ֑ל וּ/מַה יִּ֝זְכֶּ֗ה יְל֣וּד אִשָּֽׁה
Behold euen to the moone, and it shineth not, yea the starres are not pure in his sight.
GenevaBehold, he wil giue no light to the moone, and the starres are vncleane in his sight.
הֵ֣ן עַד יָ֭רֵחַ וְ/לֹ֣א יַאֲהִ֑יל וְ֝/כוֹכָבִ֗ים לֹא זַכּ֥וּ בְ/עֵינָֽי/ו
How much lesse man, that is a worme: and the sonne of man which is a worme?
GenevaHow much more man, a worme, euen the sonne of man, which is but a worme?
אַ֭ף כִּֽי אֱנ֣וֹשׁ רִמָּ֑ה וּ/בֶן אָ֝דָ֗ם תּוֹלֵעָֽה
