Judges 4
And the children of Israel againe did euil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.

וַ/יֹּסִ֨פוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לַ/עֲשׂ֥וֹת הָ/רַ֖ע בְּ/עֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְ/אֵה֖וּד מֵֽת
And the LORD sold them into the hande of Iabin king of Canaan: that reigned in Hazor, the captaine of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
GenevaAnd the Lord sold them into the hande of Iabin King of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor, whose chiefe Captaine was called Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
וַ/יִּמְכְּרֵ֣/ם יְהוָ֗ה בְּ/יַד֙ יָבִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ כְּנַ֔עַן אֲשֶׁ֥ר מָלַ֖ךְ בְּ/חָצ֑וֹר וְ/שַׂר צְבָא/וֹ֙ סִֽיסְרָ֔א וְ/ה֥וּא יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בַּ/חֲרֹ֥שֶׁת הַגּוֹיִֽם
And the children of Israel cried vnto the LORD: for he had nine hundred charets of yron: and twentie yeres hee mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
GenevaThen the children of Israel cryed vnto the Lord: (for he had nine hundreth charets of yron, and twentie yeeres he had vexed the children of Israel very sore)
וַ/יִּצְעֲק֥וּ בְנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֠י תְּשַׁ֨ע מֵא֤וֹת רֶֽכֶב בַּרְזֶל֙ ל֔/וֹ וְ֠/הוּא לָחַ֞ץ אֶת בְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּ/חָזְקָ֖ה עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה
¶ And Deborah a prophetesse, the wife of Lapidoth, shee iudged Israel at that time.

וּ/דְבוֹרָה֙ אִשָּׁ֣ה נְבִיאָ֔ה אֵ֖שֶׁת לַפִּיד֑וֹת הִ֛יא שֹׁפְטָ֥ה אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בָּ/עֵ֥ת הַ/הִֽיא
And shee dwelt vnder the palme tree of Deborah, betweene Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came vp to her for iudgement.

וְ֠/הִיא יוֹשֶׁ֨בֶת תַּֽחַת תֹּ֜מֶר דְּבוֹרָ֗ה בֵּ֧ין הָ/רָמָ֛ה וּ/בֵ֥ין בֵּֽית אֵ֖ל בְּ/הַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם וַ/יַּעֲל֥וּ אֵלֶ֛י/הָ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לַ/מִּשְׁפָּֽט
And shee sent and called Barak the sonne of Abinoam, out of Kedesh-Naphtali, and said vnto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commaunded, saying, Goe, and drawe toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali, and of the children of Zebulun?

וַ/תִּשְׁלַ֗ח וַ/תִּקְרָא֙ לְ/בָרָ֣ק בֶּן אֲבִינֹ֔עַם מִ/קֶּ֖דֶשׁ נַפְתָּלִ֑י וַ/תֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜י/ו הֲ/לֹ֥א צִוָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לֵ֤ךְ וּ/מָֽשַׁכְתָּ֙ בְּ/הַ֣ר תָּב֔וֹר וְ/לָקַחְתָּ֣ עִמְּ/ךָ֗ עֲשֶׂ֤רֶת אֲלָפִים֙ אִ֔ישׁ מִ/בְּנֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִ֖י וּ/מִ/בְּנֵ֥י זְבֻלֽוּן
And I wil draw vnto thee to the riuer Kishon, Sisera the captaine of Iabins army, with his charets, and his multitude, and I will deliuer him into thine hand.
GenevaAnd I wil drawe vnto thee to the riuer Kishon Sisera, the captaine of Iabins armie with his charets, and his multitude, and wil deliuer him into thine hand.
וּ/מָשַׁכְתִּ֨י אֵלֶ֜י/ךָ אֶל נַ֣חַל קִישׁ֗וֹן אֶת סִֽיסְרָא֙ שַׂר צְבָ֣א יָבִ֔ין וְ/אֶת רִכְבּ֖/וֹ וְ/אֶת הֲמוֹנ֑/וֹ וּ/נְתַתִּ֖י/הוּ בְּ/יָדֶֽ/ךָ
And Barak said vnto her, If thou wilt goe with me, then I wil goe: but if thou wilt not goe with mee, then I will not goe.
GenevaAnd Barak sayd vnto her, If thou wilt go with me, I will go: but if thou wilt not goe with me, I will not go.
וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלֶ֨י/הָ֙ בָּרָ֔ק אִם תֵּלְכִ֥י עִמִּ֖/י וְ/הָלָ֑כְתִּי וְ/אִם לֹ֥א תֵלְכִ֛י עִמִּ֖/י לֹ֥א אֵלֵֽךְ
And she said, I wil surely go with thee, notwithstanding the iourney that thou takest, shal not be for thine honor: for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, & went with Barak to Kedesh.
GenevaThen shee answered, I will surely goe with thee, but this iourney that thou takest, shall not be for thine honour: for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh.
וַ/תֹּ֜אמֶר הָלֹ֧ךְ אֵלֵ֣ךְ עִמָּ֗/ךְ אֶ֚פֶס כִּי֩ לֹ֨א תִֽהְיֶ֜ה תִּֽפְאַרְתְּ/ךָ֗ עַל הַ/דֶּ֨רֶךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתָּ֣ה הוֹלֵ֔ךְ כִּ֣י בְֽ/יַד אִשָּׁ֔ה יִמְכֹּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶת סִֽיסְרָ֑א וַ/תָּ֧קָם דְּבוֹרָ֛ה וַ/תֵּ֥לֶך עִם בָּרָ֖ק קֶֽדְשָׁ/ה
¶ And Barak called Zebulun, and Naphtali to Kedesh, and he went vp with ten thousand men at his feete: and Deborah went vp with him.

וַ/יַּזְעֵ֨ק בָּרָ֜ק אֶת זְבוּלֻ֤ן וְ/אֶת נַפְתָּלִי֙ קֶ֔דְשָׁ/ה וַ/יַּ֣עַל בְּ/רַגְלָ֔י/ו עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת אַלְפֵ֖י אִ֑ישׁ וַ/תַּ֥עַל עִמּ֖/וֹ דְּבוֹרָֽה
Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had seuered himselfe from the Kenites, and pitched his tent vnto the plaine of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

וְ/חֶ֤בֶר הַ/קֵּינִי֙ נִפְרָ֣ד מִ/קַּ֔יִן מִ/בְּנֵ֥י חֹבָ֖ב חֹתֵ֣ן מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַ/יֵּ֣ט אָהֳל֔/וֹ עַד אֵל֥וֹן ב/צענים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶת קֶֽדֶשׁ
And they shewed Sisera, that Barak the sonne of Abinoam was gone vp to mount Tabor.

וַ/יַּגִּ֖דוּ לְ/סִֽיסְרָ֑א כִּ֥י עָלָ֛ה בָּרָ֥ק בֶּן אֲבִינֹ֖עַם הַר תָּבֽוֹר
And Sisera gathered together all his charets, euen nine hundred charets of iron, and al the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles, vnto the riuer of Kishon.

וַ/יַּזְעֵ֨ק סִֽיסְרָ֜א אֶת כָּל רִכְבּ֗/וֹ תְּשַׁ֤ע מֵאוֹת֙ רֶ֣כֶב בַּרְזֶ֔ל וְ/אֶת כָּל הָ/עָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֑/וֹ מֵ/חֲרֹ֥שֶׁת הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֶל נַ֥חַל קִישֽׁוֹן
And Deborah said vnto Barak, Up, for this is the day in which the LORD hath deliuered Sisera into thine hand: Is not the LORD gone out before thee? so Barak went downe from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

וַ/תֹּאמֶר֩ דְּבֹרָ֨ה אֶל בָּרָ֜ק ק֗וּם כִּ֣י זֶ֤ה הַ/יּוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁר֩ נָתַ֨ן יְהוָ֤ה אֶת סִֽיסְרָא֙ בְּ/יָדֶ֔/ךָ הֲ/לֹ֥א יְהוָ֖ה יָצָ֣א לְ/פָנֶ֑י/ךָ וַ/יֵּ֤רֶד בָּרָק֙ מֵ/הַ֣ר תָּב֔וֹר וַ/עֲשֶׂ֧רֶת אֲלָפִ֛ים אִ֖ישׁ אַחֲרָֽי/ו
And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his charets, and all his hoste with the edge of the sword, before Barak: so that Sisera lighted downe off his charet, and fled away on his feet.

וַ/יָּ֣הָם יְ֠הוָה אֶת סִֽיסְרָ֨א וְ/אֶת כָּל הָ/רֶ֧כֶב וְ/אֶת כָּל הַֽ/מַּחֲנֶ֛ה לְ/פִי חֶ֖רֶב לִ/פְנֵ֣י בָרָ֑ק וַ/יֵּ֧רֶד סִֽיסְרָ֛א מֵ/עַ֥ל הַ/מֶּרְכָּבָ֖ה וַ/יָּ֥נָס בְּ/רַגְלָֽי/ו
But Barak pursued after the charets, and after the hoste vnto Harosheth of the Gentiles, and all the host of Sisera fell vpon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.

וּ/בָרָ֗ק רָדַ֞ף אַחֲרֵ֤י הָ/רֶ֨כֶב֙ וְ/אַחֲרֵ֣י הַֽ/מַּחֲנֶ֔ה עַ֖ד חֲרֹ֣שֶׁת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וַ/יִּפֹּ֞ל כָּל מַחֲנֵ֤ה סִֽיסְרָא֙ לְ/פִי חֶ֔רֶב לֹ֥א נִשְׁאַ֖ר עַד אֶחָֽד
Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet, to the tent of Iael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace betweene Iabin the king of Hazor, and the house of Heber the Kenite.

וְ/סִֽיסְרָא֙ נָ֣ס בְּ/רַגְלָ֔י/ו אֶל אֹ֣הֶל יָעֵ֔ל אֵ֖שֶּׁת חֶ֣בֶר הַ/קֵּינִ֑י כִּ֣י שָׁל֗וֹם בֵּ֚ין יָבִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ חָצ֔וֹר וּ/בֵ֕ין בֵּ֖ית חֶ֥בֶר הַ/קֵּינִֽי
¶ And Iael went out to meete Sisera, and said vnto him, Turne in, my lord, turne in to me, feare not. And when hee had turned in vnto her, into the tent, shee couered him with a mantle.

וַ/תֵּצֵ֣א יָעֵל֮ לִ/קְרַ֣את סִֽיסְרָא֒ וַ/תֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֗י/ו סוּרָ֧/ה אֲדֹנִ֛/י סוּרָ֥/ה אֵלַ֖/י אַל תִּירָ֑א וַ/יָּ֤סַר אֵלֶ֨י/הָ֙ הָ/אֹ֔הֱלָ/ה וַ/תְּכַסֵּ֖/הוּ בַּ/שְּׂמִיכָֽה
And he said vnto her, Giue me, I pray thee, a litle water to drinke, for I am thirstie. And she opened a bottle of milke, and gaue him drinke, and couered him.

וַ/יֹּ֧אמֶר אֵלֶ֛י/הָ הַשְׁקִי/נִי נָ֥א מְעַט מַ֖יִם כִּ֣י צָמֵ֑אתִי וַ/תִּפְתַּ֞ח אֶת נֹ֧אוד הֶ/חָלָ֛ב וַ/תַּשְׁקֵ֖/הוּ וַ/תְּכַסֵּֽ/הוּ
Againe he said vnto her, Stand in the doore of the tent, and it shall bee when any man doeth come and enquire of thee and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.

וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלֶ֔י/הָ עֲמֹ֖ד פֶּ֣תַח הָ/אֹ֑הֶל וְ/הָיָה֩ אִם אִ֨ישׁ יָב֜וֹא וּ/שְׁאֵלֵ֗/ךְ וְ/אָמַ֛ר הֲ/יֵֽשׁ פֹּ֥ה אִ֖ישׁ וְ/אָמַ֥רְתְּ אָֽיִן
Then Iael Hebers wife, tooke a naile of the tent, and tooke an hammer in her hand, and went softly vnto him, and smote the naile into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: (for he was fast asleepe, and weary;) so he died.

וַ/תִּקַּ֣ח יָעֵ֣ל אֵֽשֶׁת חֶ֠בֶר אֶת יְתַ֨ד הָ/אֹ֜הֶל וַ/תָּ֧שֶׂם אֶת הַ/מַּקֶּ֣בֶת בְּ/יָדָ֗/הּ וַ/תָּב֤וֹא אֵלָי/ו֙ בַּ/לָּ֔אט וַ/תִּתְקַ֤ע אֶת הַ/יָּתֵד֙ בְּ/רַקָּת֔/וֹ וַ/תִּצְנַ֖ח בָּ/אָ֑רֶץ וְ/הֽוּא נִרְדָּ֥ם וַ/יָּ֖עַף וַ/יָּמֹֽת
And behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Iael came out to meet him, and said vnto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the naile was in his temples.

וְ/הִנֵּ֣ה בָרָק֮ רֹדֵ֣ף אֶת סִֽיסְרָא֒ וַ/תֵּצֵ֤א יָעֵל֙ לִ/קְרָאת֔/וֹ וַ/תֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔/וֹ לֵ֣ךְ וְ/אַרְאֶ֔/ךָּ אֶת הָ/אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר אַתָּ֣ה מְבַקֵּ֑שׁ וַ/יָּבֹ֣א אֵלֶ֔י/הָ וְ/הִנֵּ֤ה סִֽיסְרָא֙ נֹפֵ֣ל מֵ֔ת וְ/הַ/יָּתֵ֖ד בְּ/רַקָּתֽ/וֹ
So God subdued on that day, Iabin the king of Canaan, before the children of Israel.

וַ/יַּכְנַ֤ע אֱלֹהִים֙ בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/ה֔וּא אֵ֖ת יָבִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ כְּנָ֑עַן לִ/פְנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, & preuailed against Iabin the king of Canaan, vntill they had destroyed Iabin king of Canaan.

וַ/תֵּ֜לֶךְ יַ֤ד בְּנֵֽי יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ הָל֣וֹךְ וְ/קָשָׁ֔ה עַ֖ל יָבִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ כְּנָ֑עַן עַ֚ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִכְרִ֔יתוּ אֵ֖ת יָבִ֥ין מֶֽלֶךְ כְּנָֽעַן
