Leviticus 19

And the LORD spake vnto Moses, saying,

וַ/יְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּ/אמֹֽר

Speake vnto all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and say vnto them, Ye shalbe holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל כָּל עֲדַ֧ת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וְ/אָמַרְתָּ֥ אֲלֵ/הֶ֖ם קְדֹשִׁ֣ים תִּהְי֑וּ כִּ֣י קָד֔וֹשׁ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Yee shall feare euery man his mother, and his father, and keepe my Sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaYee shall feare euery man his mother and his father, and shall keepe my Sabbaths: for I am the Lord your God.

אִ֣ישׁ אִמּ֤/וֹ וְ/אָבִי/ו֙ תִּירָ֔אוּ וְ/אֶת שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖/י תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Turne ye not vnto idoles, nor make to your selues molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaYe shall not turne vnto idoles, nor make you molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

אַל תִּפְנוּ֙ אֶל הָ֣/אֱלִילִ֔ים וֵֽ/אלֹהֵי֙ מַסֵּכָ֔ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ לָ/כֶ֑ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings vnto the LORD, ye shall offer it, at your owne will.

GenevaAnd when yee shall offer a peace offering vnto the Lord, ye shall offer it freely.

וְ/כִ֧י תִזְבְּח֛וּ זֶ֥בַח שְׁלָמִ֖ים לַ/יהוָ֑ה לִֽ/רְצֹנְ/כֶ֖ם תִּזְבָּחֻֽ/הוּ

It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remaine vntill the third day, it shalbe burnt in the fire.

GenevaIt shall be eaten the day yee offer it, or on the morowe: and that which remaineth vntill the third day, shalbe burnt in the fire.

בְּ/י֧וֹם זִבְחֲ/כֶ֛ם יֵאָכֵ֖ל וּ/מִֽ/מָּחֳרָ֑ת וְ/הַ/נּוֹתָר֙ עַד י֣וֹם הַ/שְּׁלִישִׁ֔י בָּ/אֵ֖שׁ יִשָּׂרֵֽף

And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

GenevaFor if it be eaten the third day, it shall be vncleane, it shall not be accepted.

וְ/אִ֛ם הֵאָכֹ֥ל יֵאָכֵ֖ל בַּ/יּ֣וֹם הַ/שְּׁלִישִׁ֑י פִּגּ֥וּל ה֖וּא לֹ֥א יֵרָצֶֽה

Therefore euery one that eateth it, shal beare his iniquitie, because he hath prophaned the halowed thing of the LORD; and that soule shalbe cut off from among his people.

GenevaTherefore he that eateth it, shall beare his iniquitie, because he hath defiled the halowed thing of the Lord, and that person shalbe cut off from his people.

וְ/אֹֽכְלָי/ו֙ עֲוֺנ֣/וֹ יִשָּׂ֔א כִּֽי אֶת קֹ֥דֶשׁ יְהוָ֖ה חִלֵּ֑ל וְ/נִכְרְתָ֛ה הַ/נֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַ/הִ֖וא מֵ/עַמֶּֽי/הָ

¶ And when ye reape the haruest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reape the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy haruest.

GenevaWhen yee reape the haruest of your land, ye shall not reape euery corner of your field, neither shalt thou gather the glainings of thy haruest.

וּֽ/בְ/קֻצְרְ/כֶם֙ אֶת קְצִ֣יר אַרְצְ/כֶ֔ם לֹ֧א תְכַלֶּ֛ה פְּאַ֥ת שָׂדְ/ךָ֖ לִ/קְצֹ֑ר וְ/לֶ֥קֶט קְצִֽירְ/ךָ֖ לֹ֥א תְלַקֵּֽט

And thou shalt not gleane thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather euery grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leaue them for the poore and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaThou shalt not gather the grapes of thy vineyarde cleane, neyther gather euery grape of thy vineyarde, but thou shalt leaue them for the poore and for the straunger: I am the Lord your God.

וְ/כַרְמְ/ךָ֙ לֹ֣א תְעוֹלֵ֔ל וּ/פֶ֥רֶט כַּרְמְ/ךָ֖ לֹ֣א תְלַקֵּ֑ט לֶֽ/עָנִ֤י וְ/לַ/גֵּר֙ תַּעֲזֹ֣ב אֹתָ֔/ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Ye shall not steale, neither deale falsly, neither lie one to another.

GenevaYe shall not steale, neither deale falsely, neither lie one to another.

לֹ֖א תִּגְנֹ֑בוּ וְ/לֹא תְכַחֲשׁ֥וּ וְ/לֹֽא תְשַׁקְּר֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ בַּ/עֲמִיתֽ/וֹ

¶ And ye shall not sweare by my Name falsly, neither shalt thou prophane the Name of thy God: I am the LORD.

GenevaAlso yee shall not sweare by my name falsely, neither shalt thou defile the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

וְ/לֹֽא תִשָּׁבְע֥וּ בִ/שְׁמִ֖/י לַ/שָּׁ֑קֶר וְ/חִלַּלְתָּ֛ אֶת שֵׁ֥ם אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

¶ Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired, shal not abide with thee all night, vntill the morning.

GenevaThou shalt not do thy neighbour wrong, neither rob him. The workemans hire shall not abide with thee vntil the morning.

לֹֽא תַעֲשֹׁ֥ק אֶת רֵֽעֲ/ךָ֖ וְ/לֹ֣א תִגְזֹ֑ל לֹֽא תָלִ֞ין פְּעֻלַּ֥ת שָׂכִ֛יר אִתְּ/ךָ֖ עַד בֹּֽקֶר

¶ Thou shalt not curse the deafe, nor put a stumbling blocke before the blind, but shalt feare thy God: I am the LORD.

GenevaThou shalt not curse the deafe, neither put a stumbling blocke before the blinde, but shalt feare thy God: I am the Lord.

לֹא תְקַלֵּ֣ל חֵרֵ֔שׁ וְ/לִ/פְנֵ֣י עִוֵּ֔ר לֹ֥א תִתֵּ֖ן מִכְשֹׁ֑ל וְ/יָרֵ֥אתָ מֵּ/אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

¶ Ye shall doe no vnrighteousnes in iudgement; thou shalt not respect the person of the poore, nor honour the person of the mightie: but in righteousnesse shalt thou iudge thy neighbour.

GenevaYe shall not doe vniustly in iudgement. Thou shalt not fauour the person of the poore, nor honour the person of the mightie, but thou shalt iudge thy neighbour iustly.

לֹא תַעֲשׂ֥וּ עָ֨וֶל֙ בַּ/מִּשְׁפָּ֔ט לֹא תִשָּׂ֣א פְנֵי דָ֔ל וְ/לֹ֥א תֶהְדַּ֖ר פְּנֵ֣י גָד֑וֹל בְּ/צֶ֖דֶק תִּשְׁפֹּ֥ט עֲמִיתֶֽ/ךָ

¶ Thou shalt not goe vp and downe as a tale-bearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

GenevaThou shalt not walke about with tales among thy people. Thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord.

לֹא תֵלֵ֤ךְ רָכִיל֙ בְּ/עַמֶּ֔י/ךָ לֹ֥א תַעֲמֹ֖ד עַל דַּ֣ם רֵעֶ֑/ךָ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה

¶ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sinne vpon him.

GenevaThou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but thou shalt plainely rebuke thy neighbour, and suffer him not to sinne.

לֹֽא תִשְׂנָ֥א אֶת אָחִ֖י/ךָ בִּ/לְבָבֶ֑/ךָ הוֹכֵ֤חַ תּוֹכִ֨יחַ֙ אֶת עֲמִיתֶ֔/ךָ וְ/לֹא תִשָּׂ֥א עָלָ֖י/ו חֵֽטְא

¶ Thou shalt not auenge nor beare any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt loue thy neighbor as thy selfe: I am the LORD.

GenevaThou shalt not auenge, nor be mindful of wrong against ye childre of thy people, but shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe: I am the Lord.

לֹֽא תִקֹּ֤ם וְ/לֹֽא תִטֹּר֙ אֶת בְּנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֔/ךָ וְ/אָֽהַבְתָּ֥ לְ/רֵעֲ/ךָ֖ כָּמ֑וֹ/ךָ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה

¶ Yee shall keepe my Statutes: Thou shalt not let thy cattell gender with a diuerse kinde: Thou shalt not sowe thy field with mingled seed: Neither shall a garment mingled of linnen and woollen come vpon thee.

GenevaYee shall keepe mine ordinances. Thou shalt not let thy cattel gender with others of diuers kindes. Thou shalt not sowe thy fielde with mingled seede, neyther shall a garment of diuers thinges, as of linen and wollen come vpon thee.

אֶֽת חֻקֹּתַ/י֮ תִּשְׁמֹרוּ֒ בְּהֶמְתְּ/ךָ֙ לֹא תַרְבִּ֣יעַ כִּלְאַ֔יִם שָׂדְ/ךָ֖ לֹא תִזְרַ֣ע כִּלְאָ֑יִם וּ/בֶ֤גֶד כִּלְאַ֨יִם֙ שַֽׁעַטְנֵ֔ז לֹ֥א יַעֲלֶ֖ה עָלֶֽי/ךָ

¶ And whosoeuer lieth carnally with a woman that is a bondmaid, she shall be scourged: they shall not be put to death, because she was not free:

GenevaWhosoeuer also lyeth and medleth with a woman that is a bonde mayde, affianced to a husband, and not redeemed, nor freedome giuen her, she shalbe scourged, but they shall not die, because she is not made free.

וְ֠/אִישׁ כִּֽי יִשְׁכַּ֨ב אֶת אִשָּׁ֜ה שִׁכְבַת זֶ֗רַע וְ/הִ֤וא שִׁפְחָה֙ נֶחֱרֶ֣פֶת לְ/אִ֔ישׁ וְ/הָפְדֵּה֙ לֹ֣א נִפְדָּ֔תָה א֥וֹ חֻפְשָׁ֖ה לֹ֣א נִתַּן לָ֑/הּ בִּקֹּ֧רֶת תִּהְיֶ֛ה לֹ֥א יוּמְת֖וּ כִּי לֹ֥א חֻפָּֽשָׁה

And he shall bring his trespasse offering vnto the LORD, vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, euen a ramme for a trespasse offering.

GenevaAnd he shall bring for his trespasse offring vnto the Lord, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, a ramme for a trespasse offering.

וְ/הֵבִ֤יא אֶת אֲשָׁמ/וֹ֙ לַֽ/יהוָ֔ה אֶל פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד אֵ֖יל אָשָֽׁם

And the Priest shall make an atonement for him with the ramme of the trespasse offering before the LORD for his sinne which hee hath done: and the sinne which he hath done shall bee forgiuen him.

GenevaThen the Priest shall make an atonement for him with the ramme of the trespasse offering before the Lord, concerning his sinne which he hath done, and pardon shalbe giuen him for his sinne which he hath committed.

וְ/כִפֶּר֩ עָלָ֨י/ו הַ/כֹּהֵ֜ן בְּ/אֵ֤יל הָֽ/אָשָׁם֙ לִ/פְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה עַל חַטָּאת֖/וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֑א וְ/נִסְלַ֣ח ל֔/וֹ מֵ/חַטָּאת֖/וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָטָֽא

¶ And when yee shall come in to the land, and shall haue planted all maner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit therof as vncircumcised: three yeeres shall it be as vncircumcised vnto you: it shall not be eaten of.

GenevaAlso when ye shall come into the land, and haue planted euery tree for meate, ye shall count the fruite thereof as vncircumcised: three yeere shall it be vncircumcised vnto you, it shall not be eaten:

וְ/כִי תָבֹ֣אוּ אֶל הָ/אָ֗רֶץ וּ/נְטַעְתֶּם֙ כָּל עֵ֣ץ מַאֲכָ֔ל וַ/עֲרַלְתֶּ֥ם עָרְלָת֖/וֹ אֶת פִּרְי֑/וֹ שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֗ים יִהְיֶ֥ה לָ/כֶ֛ם עֲרֵלִ֖ים לֹ֥א יֵאָכֵֽל

But in the fourth yeere all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withall.

GenevaBut in the fourth yere all the fruite thereof shalbe holy to the praise of the Lord.

וּ/בַ/שָּׁנָה֙ הָ/רְבִיעִ֔ת יִהְיֶ֖ה כָּל פִּרְי֑/וֹ קֹ֥דֶשׁ הִלּוּלִ֖ים לַ/יהוָֽה

And in the fift yeere shall ye eate of the fruit thereof, that it may yeelde vnto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaAnd in the fifth yeere shall ye eate of the fruite of it that it may yeelde to you the encrease thereof: I am the Lord your God.

וּ/בַ/שָּׁנָ֣ה הַ/חֲמִישִׁ֗ת תֹּֽאכְלוּ֙ אֶת פִּרְי֔/וֹ לְ/הוֹסִ֥יף לָ/כֶ֖ם תְּבוּאָת֑/וֹ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Ye shall not eate any thing with the blood, neither shall ye vse inchantment, nor obserue times.

GenevaYe shall not eat the flesh with the blood, ye shall not vse witchcraft, nor obserue times.

לֹ֥א תֹאכְל֖וּ עַל הַ/דָּ֑ם לֹ֥א תְנַחֲשׁ֖וּ וְ/לֹ֥א תְעוֹנֵֽנוּ

Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou marre the corners of thy beard.

GenevaYe shall not cut rounde the corners of your heades, neither shalt thou marre the tuftes of thy beard.

לֹ֣א תַקִּ֔פוּ פְּאַ֖ת רֹאשְׁ/כֶ֑ם וְ/לֹ֣א תַשְׁחִ֔ית אֵ֖ת פְּאַ֥ת זְקָנֶֽ/ךָ

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any markes vpon you: I am the LORD.

GenevaYe shall not cut your flesh for the dead, nor make any print of a marke vpon you: I am the Lord,

וְ/שֶׂ֣רֶט לָ/נֶ֗פֶשׁ לֹ֤א תִתְּנוּ֙ בִּ/בְשַׂרְ/כֶ֔ם וּ/כְתֹ֣בֶת קַֽעֲקַ֔ע לֹ֥א תִתְּנ֖וּ בָּ/כֶ֑ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה

¶ Doe not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore, lest the land fall to whoredome, and the land become full of wickednesse.

GenevaThou shalt not make thy daughter common, to cause her to be a whore, least the lande also fall to whoredome, and the lande bee full of wickednesse.

אַל תְּחַלֵּ֥ל אֶֽת בִּתְּ/ךָ֖ לְ/הַזְנוֹתָ֑/הּ וְ/לֹא תִזְנֶ֣ה הָ/אָ֔רֶץ וּ/מָלְאָ֥ה הָ/אָ֖רֶץ זִמָּֽה

¶ Ye shall keepe my Sabbaths, and reuerence my Sanctuary: I am the LORD.

GenevaYe shall keepe my Sabbaths and reuerence my Sanctuarie: I am the Lord.

אֶת שַׁבְּתֹתַ֣/י תִּשְׁמֹ֔רוּ וּ/מִקְדָּשִׁ֖/י תִּירָ֑אוּ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה

¶ Regard not them that haue familiar spirits, neither seeke after Wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaYe shall not regarde them that worke with spirites, neither soothsayers: ye shall not seeke to them to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

אַל תִּפְנ֤וּ אֶל הָ/אֹבֹת֙ וְ/אֶל הַ/יִּדְּעֹנִ֔ים אַל תְּבַקְשׁ֖וּ לְ/טָמְאָ֣ה בָ/הֶ֑ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Thou shalt rise vp before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and feare thy God: I am the LORD.

GenevaThou shalt rise vp before the horehead, and honour the person of the old man, and dread thy God: I am the Lord.

מִ/פְּנֵ֤י שֵׂיבָה֙ תָּק֔וּם וְ/הָדַרְתָּ֖ פְּנֵ֣י זָקֵ֑ן וְ/יָרֵ֥אתָ מֵּ/אֱלֹהֶ֖י/ךָ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה

¶ And if a stranger soiourne with thee in your land, yee shall not vexe him.

GenevaAnd if a stranger soiourne with thee in your lande, ye shall not vexe him.

וְ/כִֽי יָג֧וּר אִתְּ/ךָ֛ גֵּ֖ר בְּ/אַרְצְ/כֶ֑ם לֹ֥א תוֹנ֖וּ אֹתֽ/וֹ

But the stranger that dwelleth with you, shalbe as one borne amongst you, and thou shalt loue him as thy selfe, for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

GenevaBut the stranger that dwelleth with you, shalbe as one of your selues, and thou shalt loue him as thy selfe: for ye were strangers in the lad of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

כְּ/אֶזְרָ֣ח מִ/כֶּם֩ יִהְיֶ֨ה לָ/כֶ֜ם הַ/גֵּ֣ר הַ/גָּ֣ר אִתְּ/כֶ֗ם וְ/אָהַבְתָּ֥ ל/וֹ֙ כָּמ֔וֹ/ךָ כִּֽי גֵרִ֥ים הֱיִיתֶ֖ם בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם

¶ Ye shall doe no vnrighteousnes in iudgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

GenevaYe shall not doe vniustly in iudgement, in line, in weight, or in measure.

לֹא תַעֲשׂ֥וּ עָ֖וֶל בַּ/מִּשְׁפָּ֑ט בַּ/מִּדָּ֕ה בַּ/מִּשְׁקָ֖ל וּ/בַ/מְּשׂוּרָֽה

Iust ballances, iust weights, a iust Ephah, and a iust Hin shall ye haue: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

GenevaYou shall haue iust ballances, true weightes, a true Ephah, and a true Hin. I am the Lord your God, which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt.

מֹ֧אזְנֵי צֶ֣דֶק אַבְנֵי צֶ֗דֶק אֵ֥יפַת צֶ֛דֶק וְ/הִ֥ין צֶ֖דֶק יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֑ם אֲנִי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵי/כֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵ֥אתִי אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם מֵ/אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם

Therefore shall ye obserue all my Statutes, and all my Iudgements, and doe them: I am the LORD.

GenevaTherefore shall ye obserue all mine ordinances, and all my iudgements, and doe them: I am the Lord.

וּ/שְׁמַרְתֶּ֤ם אֶת כָּל חֻקֹּתַ/י֙ וְ/אֶת כָּל מִשְׁפָּטַ֔/י וַ/עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑/ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה
