Chapter 114
Psalms 114
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Iacob from a people of strange language:
GenevaWhen Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,
בְּ/צֵ֣את יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל מִ/מִּצְרָ֑יִם בֵּ֥ית יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב מֵ/עַ֥ם לֹעֵֽז
Iudah was his sanctuarie: and Israel his dominion.
GenevaIudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.
הָיְתָ֣ה יְהוּדָ֣ה לְ/קָדְשׁ֑/וֹ יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽי/ו
The sea sawe it, and fled: Iordan was driuen backe.
GenevaThe Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.
הַ/יָּ֣ם רָ֭אָה וַ/יָּנֹ֑ס הַ֝/יַּרְדֵּ֗ן יִסֹּ֥ב לְ/אָחֽוֹר
The mountaines skipped like rammes: and the little hilles like lambes.
GenevaThe mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.
הֶֽ֭/הָרִים רָקְד֣וּ כְ/אֵילִ֑ים גְּ֝בָע֗וֹת כִּ/בְנֵי צֹֽאן
What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Iordan, that thou wast driuen backe?
GenevaWhat ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?
מַה לְּ/ךָ֣ הַ֭/יָּם כִּ֣י תָנ֑וּס הַ֝/יַּרְדֵּ֗ן תִּסֹּ֥ב לְ/אָחֽוֹר
Yee mountaines, that yee skipped like rammes: and yee little hilles like lambes?
GenevaYe mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?
הֶֽ֭/הָרִים תִּרְקְד֣וּ כְ/אֵילִ֑ים גְּ֝בָע֗וֹת כִּ/בְנֵי צֹֽאן
Tremble thou earth at the presence of the Lord: at the presence of the God of Iacob:
GenevaThe earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,
מִ/לִּ/פְנֵ֣י אָ֭דוֹן ח֣וּלִי אָ֑רֶץ מִ֝/לִּ/פְנֵ֗י אֱל֣וֹהַּ יַעֲקֹֽב
Which turned the rocke into a standing water: the flint into a fountaine of waters.
GenevaWhich turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.
הַ/הֹפְכִ֣י הַ/צּ֣וּר אֲגַם מָ֑יִם חַ֝לָּמִ֗ישׁ לְ/מַעְיְנ/וֹ מָֽיִם
