Psalms 14
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
The foole hath sayd in his heart, There is no God: they are corrupt, they haue done abominable workes, there is none that doeth good.

לַ/מְנַצֵּ֗חַ לְ/דָ֫וִ֥ד אָ֘מַ֤ר נָבָ֣ל בְּ֭/לִבּ/וֹ אֵ֣ין אֱלֹהִ֑ים הִֽשְׁחִ֗יתוּ הִֽתְעִ֥יבוּ עֲלִילָ֗ה אֵ֣ין עֹֽשֵׂה טֽוֹב
The LORD looked downe from heauen vpon the children of men; to see if there were any that did vnderstand and seeke God.

יְֽהוָ֗ה מִ/שָּׁמַיִם֮ הִשְׁקִ֪יף עַֽל בְּנֵי אָ֫דָ֥ם לִ֭/רְאוֹת הֲ/יֵ֣שׁ מַשְׂכִּ֑יל דֹּ֝רֵשׁ אֶת אֱלֹהִֽים
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no not one.
GenevaAll are gone out of the way: they are all corrupt: there is none that doeth good, no not one.
הַ/כֹּ֥ל סָר֮ יַחְדָּ֪ו נֶ֫אֱלָ֥חוּ אֵ֤ין עֹֽשֵׂה ט֑וֹב אֵ֝֗ין גַּם אֶחָֽד
Haue all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eate vp my people as they eate bread, and call not vpon the LORD.
GenevaDoe not all the workers of iniquitie know that they eate vp my people, as they eate bread? they call not vpon the Lord.
הֲ/לֹ֥א יָדְעוּ֮ כָּל פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּ/י אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם יְ֝הוָ֗ה לֹ֣א קָרָֽאוּ
There were they in great feare; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
GenevaThere they shall be taken with feare, because God is in the generation of the iust.
שָׁ֤ם פָּ֣חֲדוּ פָ֑חַד כִּֽי אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים בְּ/ד֣וֹר צַדִּֽיק
You haue shamed the counsell of the poore; because the LORD is his refuge.
GenevaYou haue made a mocke at the counsell of the poore, because the Lord is his trust.
עֲצַת עָנִ֥י תָבִ֑ישׁוּ כִּ֖י יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסֵֽ/הוּ
O that the saluation of Israel were come out of Sion! when the LORD bringeth backe the captiuitie of his people, Iacob shall reioyce, and Israel shalbe glad.
GenevaOh giue saluation vnto Israel out of Zion: when the Lord turneth the captiuitie of his people, then Iaakob shall reioyce, and Israel shall be glad.
מִ֥י יִתֵּ֣ן מִ/צִּיּוֹן֮ יְשׁוּעַ֪ת יִשְׂרָ֫אֵ֥ל בְּ/שׁ֣וּב יְ֭הוָה שְׁב֣וּת עַמּ֑/וֹ יָגֵ֥ל יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב יִשְׂמַ֥ח יִשְׂרָֽאֵל
