Psalms 27
A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my light, and my saluation, whome shal I feare? the LORD is the strength of my life, of whō shall I be afraid?

לְ/דָוִ֨ד יְהוָ֤ה אוֹרִ֣/י וְ֭/יִשְׁעִ/י מִ/מִּ֣י אִירָ֑א יְהוָ֥ה מָֽעוֹז חַ֝יַּ֗/י מִ/מִּ֥י אֶפְחָֽד
When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon me to eat vp my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
GenevaWhen the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell.
בִּ/קְרֹ֤ב עָלַ֨/י מְרֵעִים֮ לֶ/אֱכֹ֪ל אֶת בְּשָׂ֫רִ֥/י צָרַ֣/י וְ/אֹיְבַ֣/י לִ֑/י הֵ֖מָּה כָשְׁל֣וּ וְ/נָפָֽלוּ
Though an host should encampe against me, my heart shall not feare: though warre should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
GenevaThough an hoste pitched against me, mine heart should not be afraide: though warre be raised against me, I will trust in this.
אִם תַּחֲנֶ֬ה עָלַ֨/י מַחֲנֶה֮ לֹֽא יִירָ֪א לִ֫בִּ֥/י אִם תָּק֣וּם עָ֭לַ/י מִלְחָמָ֑ה בְּ֝/זֹ֗את אֲנִ֣י בוֹטֵֽחַ
One thing haue I desired of the LORD, that will I seeke after: that I may dwel in the house of the LORD, all the dayes of my life, to behold the beautie of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
GenevaOne thing haue I desired of the Lord, that I will require, euen that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the dayes of my life, to beholde the beautie of the Lord, and to visite his Temple.
אַחַ֤ת שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי מֵֽ/אֵת יְהוָה֮ אוֹתָ֪/הּ אֲבַ֫קֵּ֥שׁ שִׁבְתִּ֣/י בְּ/בֵית יְ֭הוָה כָּל יְמֵ֣י חַיַּ֑/י לַ/חֲז֥וֹת בְּ/נֹֽעַם יְ֝הוָ֗ה וּ/לְ/בַקֵּ֥ר בְּ/הֵיכָלֽ/וֹ
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pauilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me, hee shall set me vp vpon a rocke.
GenevaFor in the time of trouble hee shall hide mee in his Tabernacle: in the secrete place of his pauillion shall he hide me, and set me vp vpon a rocke.
כִּ֤י יִצְפְּנֵ֨/נִי בְּ/סֻכֹּ/ה֮ בְּ/י֪וֹם רָ֫עָ֥ה יַ֭סְתִּרֵ/נִי בְּ/סֵ֣תֶר אָהֳל֑/וֹ בְּ֝/צ֗וּר יְרוֹמְמֵֽ/נִי
And now shall mine head be lifted vp aboue mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of ioy, I will sing, yea, I will sing praises vnto the LORD.
GenevaAnd nowe shall hee lift vp mine head aboue mine enemies rounde about mee: therefore wil I offer in his Tabernacle sacrifices of ioy: I wil sing and praise the Lord.
וְ/עַתָּ֨ה יָר֪וּם רֹאשִׁ֡/י עַ֤ל אֹֽיְבַ֬/י סְֽבִיבוֹתַ֗/י וְ/אֶזְבְּחָ֣ה בְ֭/אָהֳל/וֹ זִבְחֵ֣י תְרוּעָ֑ה אָשִׁ֥ירָה וַ֝/אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה לַ/יהוָֽה
Heare, O LORD, when I crie with my voice: haue mercie also vpon mee, and answere me.
GenevaHearken vnto my voyce, O Lord, when I crie: haue mercie also vpon mee and heare mee.
שְׁמַע יְהוָ֖ה קוֹלִ֥/י אֶקְרָ֗א וְ/חָנֵּ֥/נִי וַ/עֲנֵֽ/נִי
When thou saidst, Seeke ye my face, my heart said vnto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seeke.
GenevaWhen thou saidest, Seeke ye my face, mine heart answered vnto thee, O Lord, I will seeke thy face.
לְ/ךָ֤ אָמַ֣ר לִ֭בִּ/י בַּקְּשׁ֣וּ פָנָ֑/י אֶת פָּנֶ֖י/ךָ יְהוָ֣ה אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ
Hide not thy face farre frō me, put not thy seruant away in anger: thou hast bin my helpe, leaue me not, neither forsake me, O God of my saluation.
GenevaHide not therefore thy face from mee, nor cast thy seruat away in displeasure: thou hast bene my succour: leaue me not, neither forsake mee, O God of my saluation.
אַל תַּסְתֵּ֬ר פָּנֶ֨י/ךָ מִמֶּ/נִּי֮ אַֽל תַּט בְּ/אַ֗ף עַ֫בְדֶּ֥/ךָ עֶזְרָתִ֥/י הָיִ֑יתָ אַֽל תִּטְּשֵׁ֥/נִי וְ/אַל תַּֽ֝עַזְבֵ֗/נִי אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׁעִֽ/י
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me vp.
GenevaThough my father and my mother shoulde forsake me, yet the Lord will gather me vp.
כִּי אָבִ֣/י וְ/אִמִּ֣/י עֲזָב֑וּ/נִי וַֽ/יהוָ֣ה יַֽאַסְפֵֽ/נִי
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and leade me in a plaine path, because of mine enemies.
GenevaTeache mee thy way, O Lord, and leade me in a right path, because of mine enemies.
ה֤וֹרֵ֥/נִי יְהוָ֗ה דַּ֫רְכֶּ֥/ךָ וּ֭/נְחֵ/נִי בְּ/אֹ֣רַח מִישׁ֑וֹר לְ֝מַ֗עַן שׁוֹרְרָֽ/י
Deliuer me not ouer vnto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen vp against me, and such as breath out crueltie.
GenevaGiue me not vnto the lust of mine aduersaries: for there are false witnesses risen vp against me, and such as speake cruelly.
אַֽל תִּ֭תְּנֵ/נִי בְּ/נֶ֣פֶשׁ צָרָ֑/י כִּ֥י קָֽמוּ בִ֥/י עֵֽדֵי שֶׁ֝֗קֶר וִ/יפֵ֥חַ חָמָֽס
I had fainted, vnlesse I had beleeued to see the goodnesse of the LORD in the land of the liuing.
GenevaI should haue fainted, except I had beleeued to see the goodnes of the Lord in the land of the liuing.
לׅׄוּלֵׅׄ֗אׅׄ הֶ֭אֱמַנְתִּי לִ/רְא֥וֹת בְּֽ/טוּב יְהוָ֗ה בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ חַיִּֽים
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
GenevaHope in the Lord: be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart, and trust in the Lord.
קַוֵּ֗ה אֶל יְה֫וָ֥ה חֲ֭זַק וְ/יַאֲמֵ֣ץ לִבֶּ֑/ךָ וְ֝/קַוֵּ֗ה אֶל יְהוָֽה
