Psalms 26

Iudge me, O LORD, for I haue walked in mine integritie: I haue trusted also in the LORD: therfore I shall not slide.

GenevaA Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

לְ/דָוִ֨ד שָׁפְטֵ֤/נִי יְהוָ֗ה כִּֽי אֲ֭נִי בְּ/תֻמִּ֣/י הָלַ֑כְתִּי וּ/בַ/יהוָ֥ה בָּ֝טַ֗חְתִּי לֹ֣א אֶמְעָֽד

Examine me, O LORD, and proue me; try my reines and my heart.

GenevaProue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

בְּחָנֵ֣/נִי יְהוָ֣ה וְ/נַסֵּ֑/נִי צרופ/ה כִלְיוֹתַ֣/י וְ/לִבִּֽ/י

For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: and I haue walked in thy trueth.

GenevaFor thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

כִּֽי חַ֭סְדְּ/ךָ לְ/נֶ֣גֶד עֵינָ֑/י וְ֝/הִתְהַלַּ֗כְתִּי בַּ/אֲמִתֶּֽ/ךָ

I haue not sate with vaine persons, neither will I goe in with dissemblers.

GenevaI haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

לֹא יָ֭שַׁבְתִּי עִם מְתֵי שָׁ֑וְא וְ/עִ֥ם נַ֝עֲלָמִ֗ים לֹ֣א אָבֽוֹא

I haue hated the congregation of euill doers: and will not sit with the wicked.

GenevaI haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

שָׂ֭נֵאתִי קְהַ֣ל מְרֵעִ֑ים וְ/עִם רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים לֹ֣א אֵשֵֽׁב

I will wash mine hands in innocencie: so will I compasse thine Altar, O LORD:

אֶרְחַ֣ץ בְּ/נִקָּי֣וֹן כַּפָּ֑/י וַ/אֲסֹבְבָ֖ה אֶת מִזְבַּחֲ/ךָ֣ יְהוָֽה

That I may publish with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and tell of all thy wonderous workes.

GenevaThat I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

לַ֭/שְׁמִעַ בְּ/ק֣וֹל תּוֹדָ֑ה וּ֝/לְ/סַפֵּ֗ר כָּל נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽי/ךָ

LORD, I haue loued the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

יְֽהוָ֗ה אָ֭הַבְתִּי מְע֣וֹן בֵּיתֶ֑/ךָ וּ֝/מְק֗וֹם מִשְׁכַּ֥ן כְּבוֹדֶֽ/ךָ

Gather not my soule with sinners, nor my life with bloody men.

אַל תֶּאֱסֹ֣ף עִם חַטָּאִ֣ים נַפְשִׁ֑/י וְ/עִם אַנְשֵׁ֖י דָמִ֣ים חַיָּֽ/י

In whose hands is mischiefe: and their right hand is full of bribes.

GenevaIn whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

אֲשֶׁר בִּ/ידֵי/הֶ֥ם זִמָּ֑ה וִֽ֝/ימִינָ֗/ם מָ֣לְאָה שֹּֽׁחַד

But as for mee, I will walke in mine integritie: redeeme me, and bee mercifull vnto me.

וַ֭/אֲנִי בְּ/תֻמִּ֥/י אֵלֵ֗ךְ פְּדֵ֣/נִי וְ/חָנֵּֽ/נִי

My foot standeth in an euen place: in the congregations will I blesse the LORD.

GenevaMy foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.

רַ֭גְלִ/י עָֽמְדָ֣ה בְ/מִישׁ֑וֹר בְּ֝/מַקְהֵלִ֗ים אֲבָרֵ֥ךְ יְהוָֽה
