I wil extol thee, O LORD, for thou hast lifted me vp; and hast not made my foes to reioyce ouer me.
GenevaA Psalme or song of the dedication of the house of David. I will magnifie thee, O Lord: for thou hast exalted mee, and hast not made my foe to reioyce ouer me.
מִזְמ֡וֹר שִׁיר חֲנֻכַּ֖ת הַ/בַּ֣יִת לְ/דָוִֽד
O LORD my God, I cried vnto thee, and thou hast healed me.
GenevaO Lord my God, I cried vnto thee, and thou hast restored me.
אֲרוֹמִמְ/ךָ֣ יְ֭הוָה כִּ֣י דִלִּיתָ֑/נִי וְ/לֹא שִׂמַּ֖חְתָּ אֹיְבַ֣/י לִֽ/י
O LORD, thou hast brought vp my soule from the graue: thou hast kept me aliue, that I should not goe downe to the pit.
GenevaO Lord, thou hast brought vp my soule out of the graue: thou hast reuiued me from them that goe downe into the pit.
יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָ֑/י שִׁוַּ֥עְתִּי אֵ֝לֶ֗י/ךָ וַ/תִּרְפָּאֵֽ/נִי
Sing vnto the LORD, (O yee Saints of his) and giue thanks at the remembrance of his holinesse.
GenevaSing praises vnto the Lord, ye his Saintes, and giue thankes before the remembrance of his Holinesse.
יְֽהוָ֗ה הֶֽעֱלִ֣יתָ מִן שְׁא֣וֹל נַפְשִׁ֑/י חִ֝יִּיתַ֗/נִי מ/יורדי בֽוֹר
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his fauour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but ioy commeth in the morning.
GenevaFor he endureth but a while in his anger: but in his fauour is life: weeping may abide at euening, but ioy commeth in the morning.
זַמְּר֣וּ לַ/יהוָ֣ה חֲסִידָ֑י/ו וְ֝/הוֹד֗וּ לְ/זֵ֣כֶר קָדְשֽׁ/וֹ
And in my prosperitie I said, I shall neuer be mooued.
GenevaAnd in my prosperitie I sayde, I shall neuer be moued.
כִּ֤י רֶ֨גַע בְּ/אַפּ/וֹ֮ חַיִּ֪ים בִּ/רְצ֫וֹנ֥/וֹ בָּ֭/עֶרֶב יָלִ֥ין בֶּ֗כִי וְ/לַ/בֹּ֥קֶר רִנָּֽה
LORD, by thy fauour thou hast made my mountaine to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
GenevaFor thou Lord of thy goodnes hadest made my mountaine to stande strong: but thou didest hide thy face, and I was troubled.
וַ֭/אֲנִי אָמַ֣רְתִּי בְ/שַׁלְוִ֑/י בַּל אֶמּ֥וֹט לְ/עוֹלָֽם
I cried to thee, O LORD: and vnto the LORD I made supplication.
GenevaThen cried I vnto thee, O Lord, and praied to my Lord.
יְֽהוָ֗ה בִּ/רְצוֹנְ/ךָ֮ הֶעֱמַ֪דְתָּה לְֽ/הַרְרִ֫/י עֹ֥ז הִסְתַּ֥רְתָּ פָנֶ֗י/ךָ הָיִ֥יתִי נִבְהָֽל
What profit is there in my blood, when I goe downe to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy trueth?
GenevaWhat profite is there in my blood, when I go downe to the pit? shall the dust giue thankes vnto thee? or shall it declare thy trueth?
אֵלֶ֣י/ךָ יְהוָ֣ה אֶקְרָ֑א וְ/אֶל אֲ֝דֹנָ֗/י אֶתְחַנָּֽן
Heare, O LORD, and haue mercie vpon me: LORD be thou my helper.
GenevaHeare, O Lord, and haue mercy vpon me: Lord, be thou mine helper.
מַה בֶּ֥צַע בְּ/דָמִ/י֮ בְּ/רִדְתִּ֪/י אֶ֫ל שָׁ֥חַת הֲ/יוֹדְ/ךָ֥ עָפָ֑ר הֲ/יַגִּ֥יד אֲמִתֶּֽ/ךָ
Thou hast turned for mee my mourning into dauncing: thou hast put off my sackecloth, and girded mee with gladnesse:
GenevaThou hast turned my mourning into ioy: thou hast loosed my sacke and girded mee with gladnesse.
שְׁמַע יְהוָ֥ה וְ/חָנֵּ֑/נִי יְ֝הוָה הֱֽיֵה עֹזֵ֥ר לִֽ/י
To the end that my glory may sing prayse to thee, and not be silent: O LORD my God, I will giue thankes vnto thee for euer.
GenevaTherefore shall my tongue praise thee and not cease: O Lord my God, I will giue thankes vnto thee for euer.
הָפַ֣כְתָּ מִסְפְּדִ/י֮ לְ/מָח֪וֹל לִ֥/י פִּתַּ֥חְתָּ שַׂקִּ֑/י וַֽ/תְּאַזְּרֵ֥/נִי שִׂמְחָֽה
