Psalms 50
A Psalm of Asaph.
The mightie God, euen the LORD hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sunne, vnto the going downe thereof.

מִזְמ֗וֹר לְ/אָ֫סָ֥ף אֵ֤ל אֱֽלֹהִ֡ים יְֽהוָ֗ה דִּבֶּ֥ר וַ/יִּקְרָא אָ֑רֶץ מִ/מִּזְרַח שֶׁ֝֗מֶשׁ עַד מְבֹאֽ/וֹ
Out of Sion the perfection of beautie, God hath shined.
GenevaOut of Zion, which is the perfection of beautie, hath God shined.
מִ/צִּיּ֥וֹן מִכְלַל יֹ֗פִי אֱלֹהִ֥ים הוֹפִֽיעַ
Our God shall come, and shall not keepe silence: a fire shall deuoure before him, and it shalbe very tempestuous round about him.

יָ֤בֹ֥א אֱלֹהֵ֗י/נוּ וְֽ/אַל יֶ֫חֱרַ֥שׁ אֵשׁ לְ/פָנָ֥י/ו תֹּאכֵ֑ל וּ֝/סְבִיבָ֗י/ו נִשְׂעֲרָ֥ה מְאֹֽד
He shall call to the heauens from aboue, and to the earth, that hee may iudge his people.
GenevaHee shall call the heauen aboue, and the earth to iudge his people.
יִקְרָ֣א אֶל הַ/שָּׁמַ֣יִם מֵ/עָ֑ל וְ/אֶל הָ֝/אָ֗רֶץ לָ/דִ֥ין עַמּֽ/וֹ
Gather my Saints together vnto mee: those that haue made a couenant with me, by sacrifice.
GenevaGather my Saints together vnto me, those that make a couenant with me with sacrifice.
אִסְפוּ לִ֥/י חֲסִידָ֑/י כֹּרְתֵ֖י בְרִיתִ֣/י עֲלֵי זָֽבַח
And the heauens shall declare his righteousnes; for God is iudge himselfe. Selah.

וַ/יַּגִּ֣ידוּ שָׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑/וֹ כִּֽי אֱלֹהִ֓ים שֹׁפֵ֖ט ה֣וּא סֶֽלָה
Heare, O my people, and I will speake, O Israel, and I will testifie against thee; I am God, euen thy God.

שִׁמְעָ֤/ה עַמִּ֨/י וַ/אֲדַבֵּ֗רָה יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל וְ/אָעִ֣ידָה בָּ֑/ךְ אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֱלֹהֶ֣י/ךָ אָנֹֽכִי
I will not reproue thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt offerings, to haue bene continually before me.

לֹ֣א עַל זְ֭בָחֶי/ךָ אוֹכִיחֶ֑/ךָ וְ/עוֹלֹתֶ֖י/ךָ לְ/נֶגְדִּ֣/י תָמִֽיד
I will take no bullocke out of thy house, nor hee goates out of thy folds.
GenevaI will take no bullocke out of thine house, nor goates out of thy foldes.
לֹא אֶקַּ֣ח מִ/בֵּיתְ/ךָ֣ פָ֑ר מִ֝/מִּכְלְאֹתֶ֗י/ךָ עַתּוּדִֽים
For euery beast of the forrest is mine, and the cattell vpon a thousand hilles.
GenevaFor all the beastes of the forest are mine, and the beastes on a thousand mountaines.
כִּי לִ֥/י כָל חַיְת/וֹ יָ֑עַר בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת בְּ/הַרְרֵי אָֽלֶף
I know all the foules of the mountaines: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
GenevaI knowe all the foules on the mountaines: and the wilde beastes of the fielde are mine.
יָ֭דַעְתִּי כָּל ע֣וֹף הָרִ֑ים וְ/זִ֥יז שָׂ֝דַ֗י עִמָּדִֽ/י
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fulnesse thereof.
GenevaIf I bee hungry, I will not tell thee: for the world is mine, and all that therein is.
אִם אֶ֭רְעַב לֹא אֹ֣מַר לָ֑/ךְ כִּי לִ֥/י תֵ֝בֵ֗ל וּ/מְלֹאָֽ/הּ
Will I eate the flesh of bulles, or drinke the blood of goats?
GenevaWill I eate the flesh of bulles? or drinke the blood of goates?
הַֽ֭/אוֹכַל בְּשַׂ֣ר אַבִּירִ֑ים וְ/דַ֖ם עַתּוּדִ֣ים אֶשְׁתֶּֽה
Offer vnto God thankesgiuing, and pay thy vowes vnto the most high.
GenevaOffer vnto God praise, and pay thy vowes vnto the most High,
זְבַ֣ח לֵ/אלֹהִ֣ים תּוֹדָ֑ה וְ/שַׁלֵּ֖ם לְ/עֶלְי֣וֹן נְדָרֶֽי/ךָ
And call vpon mee in the day of trouble; I will deliuer thee, and thou shalt glorifie me.
GenevaAnd call vpon me in the day of trouble: so will I deliuer thee, and thou shalt glorifie me.
וּ֭/קְרָאֵ/נִי בְּ/י֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלֶּצְ/ךָ֗ וּֽ/תְכַבְּדֵֽ/נִי
But vnto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to doe, to declare my Statutes, or that thou shouldest take my Couenant in thy mouth?
GenevaBut vnto the wicked said God, What hast thou to doe to declare mine ordinances, that thou shouldest take my couenant in thy mouth,
וְ/לָ֤/רָשָׁ֨ע אָ֘מַ֤ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים מַה לְּ֭/ךָ לְ/סַפֵּ֣ר חֻקָּ֑/י וַ/תִּשָּׂ֖א בְרִיתִ֣/י עֲלֵי פִֽי/ךָ
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behinde thee.
GenevaSeeing thou hatest to bee reformed, and hast cast my wordes behinde thee?
וְ֭/אַתָּה שָׂנֵ֣אתָ מוּסָ֑ר וַ/תַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ דְּבָרַ֣/י אַחֲרֶֽי/ךָ
When thou sawest a thiefe, then thou consentedst with him, and hast bene partaker with adulterers.
GenevaFor when thou seest a thiefe, thou runnest with him, and thou art partaker with the adulterers.
אִם רָאִ֣יתָ גַ֭נָּב וַ/תִּ֣רֶץ עִמּ֑/וֹ וְ/עִ֖ם מְנָאֲפִ֣ים חֶלְקֶֽ/ךָ
Thou giuest thy mouth to euill, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
GenevaThou giuest thy mouth to euill, and with thy tongue thou forgest deceit.
פִּ֭י/ךָ שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ בְ/רָעָ֑ה וּ֝/לְשׁוֹנְ/ךָ֗ תַּצְמִ֥יד מִרְמָֽה
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine owne mothers sonne.
GenevaThou sittest, and speakest against thy brother, and slanderest thy mothers sonne.
תֵּ֭שֵׁב בְּ/אָחִ֣י/ךָ תְדַבֵּ֑ר בְּ/בֶֽן אִ֝מְּ/ךָ֗ תִּתֶּן דֹּֽפִי
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thy selfe: but I will reproue thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

אֵ֤לֶּה עָשִׂ֨יתָ וְֽ/הֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי דִּמִּ֗יתָ הֱֽיוֹת אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה כָמ֑וֹ/ךָ אוֹכִיחֲ/ךָ֖ וְ/אֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה לְ/עֵינֶֽי/ךָ
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I teare you in pieces, and there be none to deliuer.
GenevaOh cosider this, ye that forget God, least I teare you in pieces, and there be none that can deliuer you.
בִּֽינוּ נָ֣א זֹ֭את שֹׁכְחֵ֣י אֱל֑וֹהַּ פֶּן אֶ֝טְרֹ֗ף וְ/אֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל
Who so offereth praise, glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conuersation aright, will I shew the saluation of God.
GenevaHe that offereth praise, shall glorifie mee: and to him, that disposeth his way aright, will I shew the saluation of God.
זֹבֵ֥חַ תּוֹדָ֗ה יְֽכַ֫בְּדָ֥/נְנִי וְ/שָׂ֥ם דֶּ֑רֶךְ אַ֝רְאֶ֗/נּוּ בְּ/יֵ֣שַׁע אֱלֹהִֽים
