O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
GenevaTo him that excelleth on Neginoth upon the eith tune. A Psalme of Dauid. O lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chastise me in thy wrath.
לַ/מְנַצֵּ֣חַ בִּ֭/נְגִינוֹת עַֽל הַ/שְּׁמִינִ֗ית מִזְמ֥וֹר לְ/דָוִֽד
Haue mercy vpon me, O LORD, for I am weake: O LORD heale mee, for my bones are vexed.
GenevaHaue mercie vpon me, O Lord, for I am weake: O Lord heale me, for my bones are vexed.
יְֽהוָ֗ה אַל בְּ/אַפְּ/ךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑/נִי וְֽ/אַל בַּ/חֲמָתְ/ךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽ/נִי
My soule is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
GenevaMy soule is also sore troubled: but Lord how long wilt thou delay?
חָנֵּ֥/נִי יְהוָה֮ כִּ֤י אֻמְלַ֫ל אָ֥נִי רְפָאֵ֥/נִי יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֖י נִבְהֲל֣וּ עֲצָמָֽ/י
Returne, O LORD, deliuer my soule: oh saue mee, for thy mercies sake.
GenevaReturne, O Lord: deliuer my soule: saue me for thy mercies sake.
וְ֭/נַפְשִׁ/י נִבְהֲלָ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד ו/את יְ֝הוָ֗ה עַד מָתָֽי
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the graue who shall giue thee thankes?
GenevaFor in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the graue who shall prayse thee?
שׁוּבָ֣/ה יְ֭הוָה חַלְּצָ֣/ה נַפְשִׁ֑/י ה֝וֹשִׁיעֵ֗/נִי לְמַ֣עַן חַסְדֶּֽ/ךָ
I am weary with my groning, all the night make I my bed to swim: I water my couch with my teares.
GenevaI fainted in my mourning: I cause my bed euery night to swimme, and water my couch with my teares.
כִּ֤י אֵ֣ין בַּ/מָּ֣וֶת זִכְרֶ֑/ךָ בִּ֝/שְׁא֗וֹל מִ֣י יֽוֹדֶה לָּֽ/ךְ
Mine eie is consumed because of griefe; it waxeth olde because of all mine enemies.
GenevaMine eye is dimmed for despight, and sunke in because of all mine enemies.
יָגַ֤עְתִּי בְּֽ/אַנְחָתִ֗/י אַשְׂחֶ֣ה בְ/כָל לַ֭יְלָה מִטָּתִ֑/י בְּ֝/דִמְעָתִ֗/י עַרְשִׂ֥/י אַמְסֶֽה
Depart from me, all yee workers of iniquitie: for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
GenevaAway from mee all ye workers of iniquitie: for the Lord hath heard the voyce of my weeping.
עָֽשְׁשָׁ֣ה מִ/כַּ֣עַס עֵינִ֑/י עָֽ֝תְקָ֗ה בְּ/כָל צוֹרְרָֽ/י
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receiue my prayer.
GenevaThe Lord hath heard my petition: the Lord will receiue my prayer.
ס֣וּרוּ מִ֭מֶּ/נִּי כָּל פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן כִּֽי שָׁמַ֥ע יְ֝הוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל בִּכְיִֽ/י
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them returne and be ashamed suddainly.
GenevaAll mine enemies shall be confounded and sore vexed: they shall be turned backe, and put to shame suddenly.
שָׁמַ֣ע יְ֭הוָה תְּחִנָּתִ֑/י יְ֝הוָ֗ה תְּֽפִלָּתִ֥/י יִקָּֽח
