I cryed vnto God with my voice: euen vnto God with my voice, and he gaue eare vnto me.
GenevaFor the excellent musician Ieduthun. A Psalme committed to Asaph. My voyce came to God, when I cryed: my voyce came to God, and he heard me.
לַ/מְנַצֵּ֥חַ עַֽל ידיתון לְ/אָסָ֥ף מִזְמֽוֹר
In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord; my sore ranne in the night, and ceased not: my soule refused to be comforted.

קוֹלִ֣/י אֶל אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְ/אֶצְעָ֑קָה קוֹלִ֥/י אֶל אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים וְ/הַאֲזִ֥ין אֵלָֽ/י
I remembred God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was ouerwhelmed. Selah.

בְּ/י֥וֹם צָרָתִ/י֮ אֲדֹנָ֪/י דָּ֫רָ֥שְׁתִּי יָדִ֤/י לַ֣יְלָה נִ֭גְּרָה וְ/לֹ֣א תָפ֑וּג מֵאֲנָ֖ה הִנָּחֵ֣ם נַפְשִֽׁ/י
Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speake.
GenevaThou keepest mine eyes waking: I was astonied and could not speake.
אֶזְכְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְ/אֶֽהֱמָיָ֑ה אָשִׂ֓יחָה וְ/תִתְעַטֵּ֖ף רוּחִ֣/י סֶֽלָה
I haue considered the dayes of old, the yeeres of auncient times.
GenevaThen I considered the daies of olde, and the yeeres of ancient time.
אָ֭חַזְתָּ שְׁמֻר֣וֹת עֵינָ֑/י נִ֝פְעַ֗מְתִּי וְ/לֹ֣א אֲדַבֵּֽר
I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine owne heart, and my spirit made diligent search.

חִשַּׁ֣בְתִּי יָמִ֣ים מִ/קֶּ֑דֶם שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת עוֹלָמִֽים
Will the Lord cast off for euer? and will hee be fauourable no more?
GenevaWill the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour?
אֶֽזְכְּרָ֥ה נְגִינָתִ֗/י בַּ֫/לָּ֥יְלָה עִם לְבָבִ֥/י אָשִׂ֑יחָה וַ/יְחַפֵּ֥שׂ רוּחִֽ/י
Is his mercy cleane gone for euer? doth his promise faile for euermore?
GenevaIs his mercie cleane gone for euer? doeth his promise faile for euermore?
הַֽ֭/לְ/עוֹלָמִים יִזְנַ֥ח אֲדֹנָ֑/י וְ/לֹֽא יֹסִ֖יף לִ/רְצ֣וֹת עֽוֹד
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut vp his tender mercies? Selah.

הֶ/אָפֵ֣ס לָ/נֶ֣צַח חַסְדּ֑/וֹ גָּ֥מַר אֹ֝֗מֶר לְ/דֹ֣ר וָ/דֹֽר
And I sayd, This is my infirmitie: but I will remember the yeeres of the right hand of the most high.

הֲ/שָׁכַ֣ח חַנּ֣וֹת אֵ֑ל אִם קָפַ֥ץ בְּ֝/אַ֗ף רַחֲמָ֥י/ו סֶֽלָה
I will remember the workes of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
GenevaI remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde.
וָ֭/אֹמַר חַלּ֣וֹתִ/י הִ֑יא שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת יְמִ֣ין עֶלְיֽוֹן
I will meditate also of all thy worke, and talke of thy doings.
GenevaI did also meditate all thy woorkes, and did deuise of thine actes, saying,
אזכיר מַֽעַלְלֵי יָ֑הּ כִּֽי אֶזְכְּרָ֖ה מִ/קֶּ֣דֶם פִּלְאֶֽ/ךָ
Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God, as our God?

וְ/הָגִ֥יתִי בְ/כָל פָּעֳלֶ֑/ךָ וּֽ/בַ/עֲלִ֖ילוֹתֶ֣י/ךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה
Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
GenevaThou art ye God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy power among the people.
אֱ֭לֹהִים בַּ/קֹּ֣דֶשׁ דַּרְכֶּ֑/ךָ מִי אֵ֥ל גָּ֝ד֗וֹל כֵּֽ/אלֹהִֽים
Thou hast with thine arme redeemed thy people, the sonnes of Iacob and Ioseph. Selah.

אַתָּ֣ה הָ֭/אֵל עֹ֣שֵׂה פֶ֑לֶא הוֹדַ֖עְתָּ בָ/עַמִּ֣ים עֻזֶּֽ/ךָ
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.

גָּאַ֣לְתָּ בִּ/זְר֣וֹעַ עַמֶּ֑/ךָ בְּנֵי יַעֲקֹ֖ב וְ/יוֹסֵ֣ף סֶֽלָה
The cloudes powred out water, the skies sent out a sound; thine arrowes also went abroad.
GenevaThe cloudes powred out water: the heauens gaue a sounde: yea, thine arrowes went abroade.
רָ֘א֤וּ/ךָ מַּ֨יִם אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים רָא֣וּ/ךָ מַּ֣יִם יָחִ֑ילוּ אַ֝֗ף יִרְגְּז֥וּ תְהֹמֽוֹת
The voice of thy thunder was in the heauen: the lightnings lightned the world, the earth trembled and shooke.
GenevaThe voyce of thy thunder was rounde about: the lightnings lightened the worlde: the earth trembled and shooke.
זֹ֤רְמוּ מַ֨יִם עָב֗וֹת ק֭וֹל נָתְנ֣וּ שְׁחָקִ֑ים אַף חֲ֝צָצֶ֗י/ךָ יִתְהַלָּֽכוּ
Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters: and thy foot-steps are not knowen.

ק֤וֹל רַעַמְ/ךָ֨ בַּ/גַּלְגַּ֗ל הֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקִ֣ים תֵּבֵ֑ל רָגְזָ֖ה וַ/תִּרְעַ֣שׁ הָ/אָֽרֶץ
Thou leddest thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
