Psalms 82

God standeth in the Congregation of the mightie: hee iudgeth among the gods.

מִזְמ֗וֹר לְ/אָ֫סָ֥ף אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים נִצָּ֥ב בַּ/עֲדַת אֵ֑ל בְּ/קֶ֖רֶב אֱלֹהִ֣ים יִשְׁפֹּֽט

How long will yee iudge vniustly: and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

GenevaHow long wil ye iudge vniustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

עַד מָתַ֥י תִּשְׁפְּטוּ עָ֑וֶל וּ/פְנֵ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים תִּשְׂאוּ סֶֽלָה

Defend the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the afflicted and needie.

שִׁפְטוּ דַ֥ל וְ/יָת֑וֹם עָנִ֖י וָ/רָ֣שׁ הַצְדִּֽיקוּ

Deliuer the poore and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

פַּלְּטוּ דַ֥ל וְ/אֶבְי֑וֹן מִ/יַּ֖ד רְשָׁעִ֣ים הַצִּֽילוּ

They know not, neither wil they vnderstand; they walke on in darknes: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

GenevaThey knowe not and vnderstand nothing: they walke in darkenes, albeit all the foundations of the earth be mooued.

לֹ֤א יָֽדְע֨וּ וְ/לֹ֥א יָבִ֗ינוּ בַּ/חֲשֵׁכָ֥ה יִתְהַלָּ֑כוּ יִ֝מּ֗וֹטוּ כָּל מ֥וֹסְדֵי אָֽרֶץ

I haue said, Ye are gods: and all of you are children of the most High:

אֲֽנִי אָ֭מַרְתִּי אֱלֹהִ֣ים אַתֶּ֑ם וּ/בְנֵ֖י עֶלְי֣וֹן כֻּלְּ/כֶֽם

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the Princes.

GenevaBut ye shall die as a man, and yee princes, shall fall like others.

אָ֭כֵן כְּ/אָדָ֣ם תְּמוּת֑וּ/ן וּ/כְ/אַחַ֖ד הַ/שָּׂרִ֣ים תִּפֹּֽלוּ

Arise, O God, iudge the earth: for thou shalt inherite all nations.
