Psalms 25
A Psalm of David.
Vnto thee, O LORD, doe I lift vp my soule.
GenevaA Psalme of David. Unto thee, O Lord, lift I vp my soule.
לְ/דָוִ֡ד אֵלֶ֥י/ךָ יְ֝הוָ֗ה נַפְשִׁ֥/י אֶשָּֽׂא
O my God, I trust in thee, let me not be ashamed: let not mine enemies triumph ouer me.
GenevaMy God, I trust in thee: let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies reioyce ouer mee.
אֱֽלֹהַ֗/י בְּ/ךָ֣ בָ֭טַחְתִּי אַל אֵב֑וֹשָׁה אַל יַֽעַלְצ֖וּ אֹיְבַ֣/י לִֽ/י
Yea let none that waite on thee, be ashamed: let them bee ashamed which transgresse without cause.
GenevaSo all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed: but let them be confounded, that transgresse without cause.
גַּ֣ם כָּל קֹ֭וֶי/ךָ לֹ֣א יֵבֹ֑שׁוּ יֵ֝בֹ֗שׁוּ הַ/בּוֹגְדִ֥ים רֵיקָֽם
Shewe mee thy wayes, O LORD: teach me thy pathes.
GenevaShew me thy waies, O Lord, and teache me thy paths.
דְּרָכֶ֣י/ךָ יְ֭הוָה הוֹדִיעֵ֑/נִי אֹ֖רְחוֹתֶ֣י/ךָ לַמְּדֵֽ/נִי
Lead me in thy trueth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my saluation, on thee doe I waite all the day.
GenevaLeade me foorth in thy trueth, and teache me: for thou art the God of my saluation: in thee doe I trust all the day.
הַדְרִ֘יכֵ֤/נִי בַ/אֲמִתֶּ֨/ךָ וְֽ/לַמְּדֵ֗/נִי כִּֽי אַ֭תָּה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעִ֑/י אוֹתְ/ךָ֥ קִ֝וִּ֗יתִי כָּל הַ/יּֽוֹם
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesses: for they haue beene euer of old.

זְכֹר רַחֲמֶ֣י/ךָ יְ֭הוָה וַ/חֲסָדֶ֑י/ךָ כִּ֖י מֵ/עוֹלָ֣ם הֵֽמָּה
Remember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercie remember thou me, for thy goodnesse sake, O LORD.
GenevaRemember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindenesse remember thou me, euen for thy goodnesse sake, O Lord.
חַטֹּ֤אות נְעוּרַ֨/י וּ/פְשָׁעַ֗/י אַל תִּ֫זְכֹּ֥ר כְּ/חַסְדְּ/ךָ֥ זְכָר לִ/י אַ֑תָּה לְמַ֖עַן טוּבְ/ךָ֣ יְהוָֽה
Good and vpright is the LORD: therefore will hee teach sinners in the way.
GenevaGracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he teache sinners in the way.
טוֹב וְ/יָשָׁ֥ר יְהוָ֑ה עַל כֵּ֤ן יוֹרֶ֖ה חַטָּאִ֣ים בַּ/דָּֽרֶךְ
The meeke will he guide in iudgement: and the meeke will he teach his way.
GenevaThem that be meeke, will hee guide in iudgement, and teach the humble his way.
יַדְרֵ֣ךְ עֲ֭נָוִים בַּ/מִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וִֽ/ילַמֵּ֖ד עֲנָוִ֣ים דַּרְכּֽ/וֹ
All the pathes of the LORD are mercy and truth: vnto such as keepe his couenant, and his testimonies.
GenevaAll the pathes of the Lord are mercie and trueth vnto such as keepe his couenant and his testimonies.
כָּל אָרְח֣וֹת יְ֭הוָה חֶ֣סֶד וֶ/אֱמֶ֑ת לְ/נֹצְרֵ֥י בְ֝רִית֗/וֹ וְ/עֵדֹתָֽי/ו
For thy names sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquitie: for it is great.
GenevaFor thy Names sake, O Lord, be merciful vnto mine iniquitie, for it is great.
לְמַֽעַן שִׁמְ/ךָ֥ יְהוָ֑ה וְֽ/סָלַחְתָּ֥ לַ֝/עֲוֺנִ֗/י כִּ֣י רַב הֽוּא
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall chuse.
GenevaWhat man is he that feareth the Lord? him wil he teache the way that hee shall chuse.
מִי זֶ֣ה הָ֭/אִישׁ יְרֵ֣א יְהוָ֑ה י֝וֹרֶ֗/נּוּ בְּ/דֶ֣רֶךְ יִבְחָֽר
His soule shall dwell at ease: and his seede shall inherite the earth.
GenevaHis soule shall dwell at ease, and his seede shall inherite the land.
נַ֭פְשׁ/וֹ בְּ/ט֣וֹב תָּלִ֑ין וְ֝/זַרְע֗/וֹ יִ֣ירַשׁ אָֽרֶץ
The secret of the LORD is with them that feare him: and he will shew them his couenant.
GenevaThe secrete of the Lord is reueiled to them, that feare him: and his couenant to giue them vnderstanding.
ס֣וֹד יְ֭הוָה לִ/ירֵאָ֑י/ו וּ֝/בְרִית֗/וֹ לְ/הוֹדִיעָֽ/ם
Mine eyes are euer towards the LORD: for hee shall plucke my feete out of the net.
GenevaMine eyes are euer towarde the Lord: for he will bring my feete out of the net.
עֵינַ֣/י תָּ֭מִיד אֶל יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י הֽוּא יוֹצִ֖יא מֵ/רֶ֣שֶׁת רַגְלָֽ/י
Turne thee vnto me, and haue mercy vpon me: for I am desolate and afflicted.
GenevaTurne thy face vnto mee, and haue mercie vpon me: for I am desolate and poore.
פְּנֵה אֵלַ֥/י וְ/חָנֵּ֑/נִי כִּֽי יָחִ֖יד וְ/עָנִ֣י אָֽנִי
The troubles of my heart are inlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
GenevaThe sorowes of mine heart are enlarged: drawe me out of my troubles.
צָר֣וֹת לְבָבִ֣/י הִרְחִ֑יבוּ מִ֝/מְּצֽוּקוֹתַ֗/י הוֹצִיאֵֽ/נִי
Looke vpon mine affliction, aud my paine, and forgiue all my sinnes.
GenevaLooke vpon mine affliction and my trauel, and forgiue all my sinnes.
רְאֵ֣ה עָ֭נְיִ/י וַ/עֲמָלִ֑/י וְ֝/שָׂ֗א לְ/כָל חַטֹּאותָֽ/י
Consider mine enemies: for they are many, and they hate me with cruell hatred.
GenevaBeholde mine enemies, for they are manie, and they hate me with cruell hatred.
רְאֵֽה אוֹיְבַ֥/י כִּי רָ֑בּוּ וְ/שִׂנְאַ֖ת חָמָ֣ס שְׂנֵאֽוּ/נִי
O keepe my soule and deliuer me: let me not bee ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
GenevaKeepe my soule, and deliuer me: let me not be confounded, for I trust in thee.
שָׁמְרָ֣/ה נַ֭פְשִׁ/י וְ/הַצִּילֵ֑/נִי אַל אֵ֝ב֗וֹשׁ כִּֽי חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽ/ךְ
Let integritie and vprightnesse preserue me: for I wait on thee.
GenevaLet mine vprightnes and equitie preserue me: for mine hope is in thee.
תֹּם וָ/יֹ֥שֶׁר יִצְּר֑וּ/נִי כִּ֝֗י קִוִּיתִֽי/ךָ
Redeeme Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
GenevaDeliuer Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
פְּדֵ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִ֝/כֹּ֗ל צָֽרוֹתָי/ו
