Chapter 91
Psalms 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high: shall abide vnder the shadow of the Almightie.
GenevaWho so dwelleth in the secrete of the most High, shall abide in the shadowe of the Almightie.
יֹ֭שֵׁב בְּ/סֵ֣תֶר עֶלְי֑וֹן בְּ/צֵ֥ל שַׁ֝דַּ֗י יִתְלוֹנָֽן
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge, and my fortresse: my God, in him will I trust.
GenevaI will say vnto the Lord, O mine hope, and my fortresse: he is my God, in him will I trust.
אֹמַ֗ר לַֽ֭/יהוָה מַחְסִ֣/י וּ/מְצוּדָתִ֑/י אֱ֝לֹהַ֗/י אֶבְטַח בּֽ/וֹ
Surely he shall deliuer thee from the snare of the fouler: and from the noisome pestilence.
GenevaSurely he will deliuer thee from the snare of the hunter, and from the noysome pestilence.
כִּ֤י ה֣וּא יַ֭צִּֽילְ/ךָ מִ/פַּ֥ח יָק֗וּשׁ מִ/דֶּ֥בֶר הַוּֽוֹת
Hee shall couer thee with his feathers, and vnder his wings shalt thou trust: his trueth shall bee thy shield and buckler.
GenevaHee will couer thee vnder his winges, and thou shalt be sure vnder his feathers: his trueth shall be thy shielde and buckler.
בְּ/אֶבְרָת֨/וֹ יָ֣סֶךְ לָ֭/ךְ וְ/תַֽחַת כְּנָפָ֣י/ו תֶּחְסֶ֑ה צִנָּ֖ה וְֽ/סֹחֵרָ֣ה אֲמִתּֽ/וֹ
Thou shalt not bee afraid for the terrour by night: nor for the arrow that flieth by day:
GenevaThou shalt not be afraide of the feare of the night, nor of the arrowe that flyeth by day:
לֹא תִ֭ירָא מִ/פַּ֣חַד לָ֑יְלָה מֵ֝/חֵ֗ץ יָע֥וּף יוֹמָֽם
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darknes: nor for the destruction, that wasteth at noone-day.
GenevaNor of the pestilence that walketh in the darkenesse: nor of the plague that destroyeth at noone day.
מִ֭/דֶּבֶר בָּ/אֹ֣פֶל יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ מִ֝/קֶּ֗טֶב יָשׁ֥וּד צָהֳרָֽיִם
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee.
GenevaA thousand shall fall at thy side, and tenne thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come neere thee.
יִפֹּ֤ל מִ/צִּדְּ/ךָ֨ אֶ֗לֶף וּ/רְבָבָ֥ה מִ/ימִינֶ֑/ךָ אֵ֝לֶ֗י/ךָ לֹ֣א יִגָּֽשׁ
Onely with thine eyes shalt thou behold: & see the reward of the wicked.
GenevaDoubtlesse with thine eyes shalt thou beholde and see the reward of the wicked.
רַ֭ק בְּ/עֵינֶ֣י/ךָ תַבִּ֑יט וְ/שִׁלֻּמַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים תִּרְאֶֽה
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, euen the most High, thy habitation:
GenevaFor thou hast said, The Lord is mine hope: thou hast set the most High for thy refuge.
כִּֽי אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה מַחְסִ֑/י עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן שַׂ֣מְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽ/ךָ
There shall no euill befall thee: neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
GenevaThere shall none euill come vnto thee, neither shall any plague come neere thy tabernacle.
לֹֽא תְאֻנֶּ֣ה אֵלֶ֣י/ךָ רָעָ֑ה וְ֝/נֶ֗גַע לֹא יִקְרַ֥ב בְּ/אָהֳלֶֽ/ךָ
For hee shall giue his Angels charge ouer thee: to keepe thee in all thy wayes.

כִּ֣י מַ֭לְאָכָי/ו יְצַוֶּה לָּ֑/ךְ לִ֝/שְׁמָרְ/ךָ֗ בְּ/כָל דְּרָכֶֽי/ךָ
They shall beare thee vp in their hands: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
GenevaThey shall beare thee in their handes, that thou hurt not thy foote against a stone.
עַל כַּפַּ֥יִם יִשָּׂא֑וּ/נְ/ךָ פֶּן תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּ/אֶ֣בֶן רַגְלֶֽ/ךָ
Thou shalt tread vpon the Lion, and adder: the yong Lion and the dragon shalt thou trample vnder feete.
GenevaThou shalt walke vpon the lyon and aspe: the yong lyon and the dragon shalt thou treade vnder feete.
עַל שַׁ֣חַל וָ/פֶ֣תֶן תִּדְרֹ֑ךְ תִּרְמֹ֖ס כְּפִ֣יר וְ/תַנִּֽין
Because he hath set his loue vpon me, therefore will I deliuer him: I wil set him on high, because hee hath knowen my Name.
GenevaBecause he hath loued me, therefore will I deliuer him: I will exalt him because hee hath knowen my Name.
כִּ֤י בִ֣/י חָ֭שַׁק וַ/אֲפַלְּטֵ֑/הוּ אֲ֝שַׂגְּבֵ֗/הוּ כִּֽי יָדַ֥ע שְׁמִֽ/י
He shall call vpon me, and I will answere him: I will bee with him in trouble, I will deliuer him, and honour him.
GenevaHe shall call vpon me, and I wil heare him: I will be with him in trouble: I will deliuer him, and glorifie him.
יִקְרָאֵ֨/נִי וְֽ/אֶעֱנֵ֗/הוּ עִמּֽ/וֹ אָנֹכִ֥י בְ/צָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלְּצֵ֗/הוּ וַֽ/אֲכַבְּדֵֽ/הוּ
With long life wil I satisfie him: and shew him my saluation.

אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑/הוּ וְ֝/אַרְאֵ֗/הוּ בִּֽ/ישׁוּעָתִֽ/י
